What did you do with your 4runner today?

Just got done installing the rear Fj moogs. First thing you notice side by side is the Fj is taller by about an inch. Pretty sure we all expect that. But what I didn't expect was the bottom spring did not seat properly into the coupling. As it sits right now it haven't fully seated. Maybe some hard wheeling would squeeze it in. It's a tad smaller in diameter than the stock. Pretty sure it will seat itself in. But no noise and the ride is much better for sure. Early assessment under 10 miles driven so far. Will keep y'all posted. Oh and the gains are just over an inch.

Ouch... that's why I asked you to let us know if they seated. It's documented on these forums that the Moogs are doing that. I hoped that they were updated or something.

A few people have worked them on from what I've read, but that is the main reason I'm going OEM or a/m. Good luck!

It's not q deal breaker because of the cost. I can always go back to stock and just add spacers. As of now it is riding just fine. Will keep everyone posted.

Mine didn't have any when I bought it, same wheels as yours and I kinda liked it so, not planning on getting any.

Wanted to change the look a bit so I decided to remove the center caps, remove the rust, paint the inner rotors flat black, and leave the center caps off. I like it, looks a bit more rugged.

I agree. The cost had me seriously wanting to order. But between the seating and the extra coils, etc... I was on the fence about them. Keep us updated though.

Swapped out the FJ Coils of some OME 885's up front and Icon 2" for the rear. Also changed the Diff & Transfer Case fluid for some Valvoline Full Synthetic. Getting everything ready for the Road Trip to Bonnarro next week. I'll post some pictures later this week after I can get it cleaned up.

Also, why did you pull the FJ coils? I'm about to obtain and install some and I'm curious why you are getting rid.

where's the fun in that??

it isn't that i don't know how to work on my cars, it's that my 4Runner has 140k+ miles on it and i'm pretty sure these bolts have never been touched. the front driver side has a TON of rust on the nuts and bolts and i've had to fight it every step of the way to get things apart. i literally just need to get this one piece apart and i'm home free.

I know, I need to get it cleaned up and then I'll get some pictures. I swapped them out because I wanted to go taller. I'm planning on going up to 33's and needed the extra clearance.

Oil and filter change, washed it (rained 5 mins later) and installed my oem hitch! Still gotta trim the bumper cover but I'm glad I'll finally be able to tow a little bit.
