Tell me about it, I was about ready to set mine on fire after my wheels/tires. Fixed it with hub centric rings and acorn style ET lug nuts, so much better!

i have hub centric spacers but i wonder if they are the wrong size hub and the wheels dont fully seat properly. My center caps are stuck around the hub centric ring. Maybe they're in between the wheel and causing weird vibes.

Added some rear task lighting. Mostly for camping so I can prep food and see everything in the back when I need something...without always having to rely on a head lamp.

Then I bought this controller: 12V Remote Control LED Dimmer Switch & Strobe Controller - Plug & Play to use as the switch so I could operate via remote and have dimming capability. The strobe function is just an added bit of funk factor

Did a little prep/maintenance before my road trip SC for Thanksgiving/wheeling next week. Changed the Oil, F & R and Tcase fluid, finished my extended rear brake lines for the LT kit, added 1.5 Daystar spacer on rear DS, tried to do the extended bumpstops also but snapped one bolt on the DS and both the bolts on the passenger so now I have to dremel them out :redbrick:Good times, oh and I still need to paint and install the lower link skids...

Well, this confirms (at least for me) that the newer TE wheels look bad-ass on a 4th gen. The 2014s came out not long after I picked up my SR5 wheels, which I settled for after giving up on finding gunmetal Tundra/Sequoias. If I would have seen these before I picked up my SR5s I would've been all over them!!

After discovering a seized rear caliper last weekend, I spent plenty of money on brake parts this week (new calipers, rotors, pads, and parking brake hardware.) While I was waiting on all of my parts to arrive, I figured I would spend a little more and finally take care of a simple mod that I can actually look at every day. So I finally picked these up:
I plan to install them this weekend while I finish up my rear brakes. These are part of my brake job, since they contain brake lights... at least, that's how I justified them to my wife! :biggrin1:

I got mine from Amazon because it was the best price I found with fast shipping (Prime 2-day) and I also had a gift card to use up. They are the DEPO brand lights, not OEM. Although I have to say the quality seems top notch, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I can't tell the difference when compared to the OEM lights on my neighbor's '08. Depo seems to have stepped up the quality a bit since my last experience with them, which was a set of E-code (European spec) headlights on my old GTI that turned out to be complete junk. That was like 10 years ago, though.

I don't expect any problems, and I'll let everyone know how it turns out before the end of the weekend.
Right now I am fighting with my parking brake while I am trying to install those damn springs that hold the shoes to the backing plate and I am VERY close to just removing everything, securing the cable, and finishing my rear brakes (new calipers, rotors, pads.) I can live with no parking brake on the 4Runner. I only ever use it when I have a trailer hooked up, and I use wheel chocks anyway, so I really don't see the point of dealing with any more of the frustration today. I only use it regularly on my manual transmission vehicles anyway. And there's no inspections for it to fail here in Maryland except at time of purchase.

That's probably it, pull the wheels off and make sure everything is the way it's supposed to be

i did that today. it fixed it. It has a slight vibration but i realized the tire shop did rotate so that may be why as well. Ill drive it awhile and see if itll smooth itself out as everything is perfectly tight.

Picked up my wheels from powder coat today. Super stoked on how it came out. Went with a neon yellow with emerald sparkle clear.
