I'm not sure what the audio cd deck is, but I don't think so... I'm not as familiar with the non-JBL setup.

It was part #PT546-00120-CH- accessory harness but it came up audio cd deck.....

Nope, no RCAs. Here's the parts I used:

PT546-00120-AD Antenna Adapter- (You'll only need the part that plugs into the antenna)
PT546-00120-CH- Accessory Harness Adapter- Steering wheel controls, etc.
Metra TYTO-01- Converts the analog output of the head unit to the digital signals the Synthesis amp is looking for.
71-1761- Reverse Wiring Harness- Allows you to plug the converter into the Scion head unit without hacking up any vehicle wiring.

Optional:
PT546-00120-US- USB/Aux Adapter
PT546-74120-MC- Bluetooth Mic, but also necessary to enable bluetooth functionality for A2DP streaming.

not to be a pain, but i am confused? that TYTO-01 harness has RCAs, where do those go if the scion unit does not have them and the OEM jbl amp does not have them either?

did you hack up the above and only use some parts to make everything? i would be very interested in seeing a diagram of how you hooked everything up, if its not too much trouble.

thanks for any help. as stated, i would love to hook up a 2014 scion touchscreen HU to be able to have a backup camera in the dash and OEM fit and form.

so you just use easy off and it strips all the OEM chrome? then wash with dawn and ready to go?

Yep, the Easy Off starts eating the chrome as soon as you spray it on there. I usually let it sit on there for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with a hose to get the majority of the crud off. Then i take them in and wash with dish washing liquid. If you do this you have to do it outside. It is very caustic but works great!

Well, Today, I tried to crawl under the rear of the 4runner because I've been hearing a metal to metal vibration. Come to find out, its the Gibson tail pipe hitting against the tow hitch. Has anybody had this before? I tried to push the tail pipe end to towards the passenger side so it clears without touching or vibrating against the hitch. TEMP fix, but has anyone run aftermarket exhaust hangers? (To any and all of my Subie people out there) Kind of like we do/did with the Polyurethane Cobb/Kartboy extended exhaust hangers..

That sucks.. Could you not fabricate some hangers? I wouldn't think a shop would charge a whole lot for a couple of hangers right?

My friend, on a more serious note, I am sure If I check the sizes on the OEM hangers, I could possibly check with the companies I have used in the past for the my subies.. Not a huge deal as I may have to keep pushing it to the side until I can get to it..

not the best nor the fanciest of the mods but my weathertech stuff came in (floor matts and window visors), just installed them.
I haven't even owned this car a month and i already put on a new head unit with working steering wheel controls, led everything inside the car, hid head lights and fogs, and the 880 reverse light mod, that one was fairly easy.

New right front caliper fixed my leaky fluid/peddle feedback issue. Fresh oil change.

Made the mistake of hosing it down at the do-it-yourself car wash at 8:00 am this morning, 9 degrees F. Sort of looks like this now...

Wanted to do a pre-spray for a run through the good, touch-less, full wash this afternoon.

Lol so I got in contact with [MENTION=112646]WeldTightFab[/MENTION] on here after scrolling through this thread, I noticed he made a redbull cup holder for this 4R and modified it to mount into the switch place on the left of the steering wheel and I loved it so much he's making me one now and it's really convenient but I will add a little twist to it by cutting a redbull can open and shaving the edges and 3M taping it around the holder itself to make it look super sexy muhahah! He said it should be done by this weekend so here in a week I'll get the most useful upgrade ever!
