What did you do with your 4runner today?

I just dropped $1200 on my 4runner. Picked up my 2005 SR5 V8 from the Toyota Dealership this morning. I hit 105,000 miles last week so I had the timing belt and water pump replaced. Also got new rear brade pads, new front brake hardware, had the differential fluids replaced and finally an oil change. So much for getting a lift, spacers and new tires... better start saving my pennies!

I know this is the wrong thread for this question, but since you said you just hit 105k I thought I'd ask! I am at 103k and my maintenance light is on, i just got a oil change at 100k so i know i wont need another until 105k, just wondering what this light is for! if it is for a new timing belt will i be able to tell if i need a new one by looking at it?

You just need to reset your maint light whenever you do your oil change

most dealers will reset the light when it comes on. i've had to do it myself a couple of times and actually found the information to do it in this forum.
i have it written down somewhere...
i believe you have to turn the ignition to ON, set odometer to ODO, turn ignition to OFF, press and hold trip RESET button while turning ignition to ON, wait until light flashes, release trip RESET button, turn ignition to OFF
i always start the truck up after to make sure the light is off

Over the weekend I removed all of the rediculous stick-on Chrome trim (aka Suburbian Bling) :nono: installed by my trucks previous owner but best of all, discovered that the very same PO installed a remote starter!

I just finished wiring a third rock light, rewiring the rocker switches on my dash, relocated the center diff lock, cleaned out some old wires I wasn't using any more, finished hardwiring an inverter. I've had enough crimping and shrink wrapping to last a long while.

Today, my 4Runner was happy.

1) Took her to the dealer (Bennett Toyota in Allentown) to do complete radiator flush. $159. Got a complimentary wash. I was happy. I hate flushing radiators.
2) Purchased and installed a PROPER center dash bezel. Mine came with the JBL CD Changer, but I installed a factory NAV shortly after I got her. For those who know, the bezel doesn't fit the NAV. Anyway, the NAV now looks great except for the fact that, now, the HVAC panel doesn't fit properly. I remember reading that the HVAC panel is slightly different for those too (single CD radio/NAV is different from JBL CD changer). Anyway, long story short, I found one on fleabay for cheap.
3) Purchased an HVAC control/panel for a proper FACTORY look.
4) Coming soon: White LED mod for instrument cluster

I'll eventually put a thread with pics on how all of this went.

changed out my 15s, the rf p2d2-15 is out now and i got 1 of 2 rf p3d2-15 in, will order the other one end off this or next week.

Well, since I was finally ready for new tires I installed my new Bilstein 5100's on the front with the stock shocks. I had new Michilen LTX/MS2's 265/65/R17 put on. They did an alignment and wheel balance.
I have a slight shiimy in the wheel at 60-65mph, so I took it back to check the tire balance.
I didn't have this before, so I am hoping the tires need just a re-balancing.
Hopefully this will be resolved in about 3 hours.

I hope they don't try to say it's the new shocks I put on are stiffer and I am just feeling the road imperfections.
