Today I finished detailing my 2007 "Titanium" 4Runner Sport edition. Took me two days, on and off. Started out by washing, then claybar'd all the leading edge surfaces, like the hood, front fenders, front bumper and fascia, front roof line, etc. Damned hard work, but it paid off. Clay came back filthy. Then waxed, two coats, with Maguiar's new (?) liquid wax - MLX, or something like that - three initials, plus detailed the wheels and tires, and sprayed the tires with wet-look solution. Installed a seat cover for me, since I jump in and out a lot, plus I worked over the two front seats with leather softener and preservative. Love that truck! Really, really love it!

I've thought about doing that as well, any problems with the extra weight and opening the hatch? Did it slow the struts or keep them from putting it all the way up?

New rims, Thanks Discount Tire!
Went to get my tires rotated today, and they refused because of my wheel spacers. I bought them from Discount Tire, and they have been on the vehicle for a year, with several tire rotations, not to mention they were there when the tires were installed originally at DT. Long story short, they offered me half off a new set of rims, so they kept me a happy camper. Great way for them to make good on a bad situation, and keep me happy. I have been buying tires from these guys for a LONG time, I would of been lost when it came time for new tires if they had not fixed this!

yeah, definitely slows the gate coming up; i thought about upgrading the struts. I purchased new bags so i'm going to be adding weight to the gate. i'll see how much it affects it then.

Well, today I didn't do much.... just finished installing these!
That is SWEET!!!! I have a Recaro baby seat installed, but these buckets are just epic!!! :boink:

WOW! I need something like those in my truck, how'd you work out the seat bracket and passenger air bag?
Looks awesome. I was actually researching doing the same thing awhile ago, but couldn't figure out anything. On long drives my seats are outrageously uncomfortable, hope those work out for you.

That is pretty swank! Where did you order your rack and packs from?
the molle i got from Smittybilt, comes with both the black bags, the ACU stuff is from my army days. Just used some screws, washers, and nuts from home depot cause i've read reviews on how the supplied screws are crap. I actually just purchased a few more bags which should be coming in tmr; i'll post new photos soon!

did some more work with plasti dip. all thats left to do now is to plasti dip the front and door emblems clear and all chrome will be gone.
I want to hate it, but it looks surprisingly clean, nice work!

I had a similar situation with Discount Tire and ended up with new rims.
I have been buying tires from Discount Tire since 1974 and they have always treated me right.
Oh yes, your rig looks great, I love black on vehicles
