Both pics are the same color in different lighting. Color is anthracite and looks more like the first pic in person to me...almost like a black with their new silver metalizer in it. It's alot darker than their gunmetal color thats for sure. I was hoping for it to be more like the second pic gray, but I am happy with it nonetheless.

Replace hatch switch
2007 Sport Edtion 4WD, changed out the rear hatch switch with rubber cover decaying to goop.
Great fun for something Toyota should never have let happen.
I know they are at the mercy of other suppliers, but some sort of accelerated aging should be done on exterior parts to catch things that prematurely decay like this.

Rustolem it is a dark grey metallic. The end caps are the stock black
Between the cross rails and bars I used 3 cans

Dumb owner then. Raptors aren't built for trail rigs. Some people don't deserve to be able to buy such nice things.

Its seven years old. Its a maintenance item that has excessive wear and tear. Replace and move on.

I actually ran BVORR here in Texas with a DC Raptor and it did absolutely fantastic on the trails.

The main off road beach on long island and the reason I bought my truck originally (smiths point) has been closed due to the stupid Piping Plover bird nesting. Which is probably a giant scam.
So today I went out on eastern long island to a place called Shinnecock East County Park. packed out the truck with 6 people.. BBQ, cooler, chairs, tables ect. Most loaded Ive ever had it. Got 18mpg at 70mph with AC on. 100 miles round trip.

Mines doing this too. But at least your rear lift gate isn't rusting from the inside out. Once it gets bad enough I'll replace it. All the little bubbles are rust on the inside of the hatch.
