I promise that bumper cover can be off in 15 minutes. You have button fasteners, 10mm bolts/screws and the 4 clips on each side just rear of the headlamp assembly. If you use a 1" paint scraper you can see where those clips are.
If those Rigid lights were just 1/4" smaller they would fit perfectly. I had to cut the top corner on each side of the lower valence piece to make them fit perfectly.

After I get all finished I look over and see that I forgot to put the energy pad back under the front bumper. I guess I will put that back in today. I'll try to take some pictures that will help anybody out that wants to do this install.

I added the Daystar 2.5/1.5 lift. With a friend and the right tools we did the entire install in 2 hours. Frankly the rear coil over spacer was the hardest part. Squeezing them back in took serious elbow grease! We followed the simple front install of prying down LAC to squeeze fronts back in. Pic in garage is after fronts are installed.

Jack the truck up by the rear axle as high as it'll go, put jack stands under the frame right before the mounts for the trailing arms (in photo)

Let down the jack and your axle will go down to full droop like in my photo. Then you disconnect the shocks and sway bar links from the frame

Then either have your buddy step on the hub of the axle to push it down, use the stock bottle jack between the axle and bump stop to angle the axle to make the new springs fit back easier, OR use your floor jack under the opposite side of the axle to lift. In this photo I was just finishing changing out the drivers side spring

I took this one but it's not real great. I'll get some better ones tomorrow. I need to get a headlight restoration kit now because the haziness is way more obvious now haha. But I'm pleased with the look for now.

Looks great, I so should have repainted my satin blacks to gun metal, it would match my Shadow Mica so much better.... :frusty:

Now that I've done it I'm not near as nervous to break them back open if I need to. I say go for it! And ignore my picture I posted in the other thread I just saw where you replied here haha.

Wow those look good too. If I get tired of the grey I may change colors down the road but for now I'm pretty content haha. Although I may rip them apart cause a dog hair got in one and I'm OCD.

HAHAHAHA I did the same, I had a dog hair on the inside of the lense, and had to bake it and remove it after I got it back together.

Hey let me know how you like the Fox suspension, thinking about them for my lift eventually and not too many 5th gen guys have them, no one has the fox with resi's.

Don't get me wrong, I like it and always thought it would be useful to check on kids, just wondering what you purpose is?

dash cam to record life. outside your vehicle. it will document what really happened when that ass hole runs the red light. when he says i ran a red and produces a witness to support his bullshit lie.

just like the cameras in a police car. cant dispute the video. its installed and i can forget about it until i need it!

in other countries you get insurance discounts for having one installed.

honestly, they are better than stock when you compare it to the drop in plug and play hid kit. much wider. but if you really cut up and mod it a lil more, a rx projector is more better, so is a tsx for a beginner. im spoiled by my work.

I cut the end off of the exhaust today so that there was no interference with the CBI bumper... also it'll force me to get it re-routed to come out the side.

What did you use to cut it? I've been wanting to do this and I'm debating using my dremmel and cut off wheel or a pipe cutting wrench. I want to get a clean even cut.

I just used a cut-off wheel on a 4.5" angle grinder... a Dremel tool would struggle and would probably go through a dozen of the heavy duty cut-off discs. A pipe-cutter might be great to use. The pipe is certainly heavy enough and you should get a perfectly straight cut, but it might take a while.
