Got my azz kicked today
Swapped out spindles / dust seals / wheel bearings / tc ucas / rotors / brakes / calipers / brake lines
Was going to swap inner / outer tre's + lcas and coilovers but ran out of time and energy
So xtreas sucks
Got squirted in the eye when i tried to remover the hydraulic line and wrecked the new driveway
So that disaster will have to wait for another day

So after this my vsc off and trac lights are still lite up
So i will need to look into that

What impact is that? I have to do my axles/wheel bearings in about a week...been thinking of getting the harbor freight/chicago chorded impact just to make my life easier.

I have an electric Kobalt impact from Lowes and I love it. I think it had the most power out of the electric ones at the time I got it (last year)

Ordered polyurethane bushings for the front suspension, waiting on a ''good guy'' price from a friend of a friend on Icon uca's. Also ordered a trailer brake controller. Looking into trailers for the up coming desert season

Also dropped in a aFe air filter and a oe cabin filter.

Changed my front/rear diff oil and t-case oil, washed it, dropped the spare tire to make sure it was functioning properly, and then cleaned up the spare and put it back. Almost took off the running boards but friends called hahaha

Zero point calibration needed probably

first thing i thought of when you said "dropped the spare tire to make sure it was functioning properly" was does it roll?

how hard is changing the diff oil?

hahahahaha well I meant that I was making sure the cable was fine and would unroll and the pull it back up etc. But I can see how it was misunderstood even though it being able to roll is important too!! and it was very easy. I should've used jack stands just to have more room to work with but it's still possible without them. Just drain and fill just like changing you oil but without a filter. Make sure the fill plugs come off first so that you don't drain it and then find out you cant fill it.

must be nice to be able to fit under the truck without jack stands. guess i need to hurry and install my 5100's then

Lexus GX 470 driveshaft is too short

Headed to NAPA with my uncle to see of they have some spacer plates or something

Will be upgrading rear flange bolts to grade 8 that are slightly longer to accommodate the spacers for the driveshaft. Hopefully I don't have to jerry rig this

i thought with a kit you didnt have to have matching batteries? thought it was only if you have them running in parallel all the time

with that kit the term "battery isolator" is thrown around alot.

isolator, theoretically battery a will not see battery b. its not true since the isolator that comes in that kit is actually a high current relay

like this one
sgp32_m.jpg~original

basically when the car is on the relay completes the line from the battery to the alternator. thus making it a parallel configuration just using different points for connection.

on the relay there are 4 connections, two larger one for the battery in and out and 2 smaller one for ground and one for ignition trigger. if you know a little about how a relay works you will find this is the same thing.

look at my diagram i drew up. its basically parallel with different connection points.

in my mind i make perfect sense. if i didnt explain it correctly then feel free to ask! :)
