So after 3 weeks of getting all the parts, orders being shipped, and two whole days at the shop... THE RACK IS ON



I am very impressed with the Baja Rack, looks fantastic especially with the light cage and four Lightforce 170's.

It doesn't change the driving dynamics at all, there is noticeable wind noise from the light cage but it isn't to the point where I want to rip it off. I was driving at 60mph when observed.

So I got to switch on the 170's and DAMN they are bright!!!!! They are 12v halogens and they are WAY brighter than my high beam on the headlights. Very impressive.

Now we talk about a few disappointments....

When my dad and I were loading the box into the 4Runner to take to the shop, he dropped it and there is a large dent at the rear. I was very pissed when I saw it but Dad talked me into that a few dings here and there adds character.

The wiring for the lights is a huge headache, I'm not even going into how I would have done it TOTALLY different but they got the job done.

Anyway showed my Jeep friends and one of them has 2 ditch lights, blew him out of the water with my 170's.

Finally mounted the maglite in the rig, drivers seat side panel.

Bought the mount kit with the spare clear/blue/red lenses, so now the ML now has a clear/in scratched lense after about 10 years

Put some rust converter on my frame and hitch today. Trying to get ready for winter.

On the driveway this afternoon:

Oil and filter change.
+
New upper and lower radiator hoses and coolant flush and re-fill.

The old hoses looked like they had another 10 years of life in 'em.

Let's see some front shots and some more output shots like with the headslights off and angles and such. Curious how those compare to LEDs. What's the wattage??

I'm planning on taking some shots with my DLSR at dusk and will do output shots tonight. They are 12v 100 Watts

Gadget from URD did a road tune on my 4Runner. The Afe intake was making it run really lean (really close to throwing a warning light according to Gadget) so something to keep in mind if you are running it. She runs smoother and accelerates a little faster (butt dyno). The MAF is a must have if you do exhaust/intake IMHO.

Put on the Fumoto valve on and did the oil change. Wasnt paying attention and over filled the first canister and made a bit of a mess in the drive way.

Did you wire them 2 per relay? I had 100w halogens in my KC day lighters and thought they sucked. Looked nothing like the light forces at least from that pic. With 55w HIDs though they're awesome.

I'm not following this.... I have an afe cai and a borla muffler and my torque app says I'm 14.7 AFR. Is your measuring method more accurate? Can you elaborate?

He was using an OBD-II scanner (not the SG2, but the other mainstream one...forget the name) and also an LM-2 Wideband with a sensor in my tailpipe to get the actual A/F reading. I apologize if I didn't make sense, I am a complete newb when it comes to tuning cars.
