I'll be swapping some DOT 4 into my brake fluid reservoir. My fluid is kinda nasty in the rear axle.

It wasn't today, but I forgot about this. I bought a Nexus 7 off eBay and a bluetooth deal for my obdII and downloaded the torque app on the tablet. I mounted it where that "useless to me" compartment is. I got it because I guess I'm paranoid about the coolant temperature! I have just the free version of the app now, but I'm gonna go ahead and by it. It's a really useful app from what I can tell so far!

I run Torque on a Nexus 7 as well. Great tablet at a great price, and a great app as well!

Ha! I had anyone complain about it smelling bad in there! When I bought it, it had a chemical smell in it, so I shampooed the carpet and seats and put those in it.

At 101,500 mi, I did the first oil and filter change since when I purchased it in July at 98k mi. I used Mobil 1 5W-30 (Costco) and an OEM filter (Amazon). The old oil was pretty dark. I'm glad I changed it, even though it should have only had 2700 miles on it since the trade-in service.
I had planned to install the Fumoto drain valve I ordered a while back, but someone put an F108N into an F103N bag. :dammit:
Unfortunately, it's too late for me to return it, so I'll eBay it or something.
It was also the first time I had a vehicle on ramps and jack stands. That's what life insurance is for, right?

I would safely guess that most accidents are user error so just be sure that the vehicle is secure before you get under it. Also check your stands from time to time for rust, corrosion, bends, cracks and anything else that could seriously compromise their strength.

I finished the 5100 install. Rears only took about an hour. Anybody looking to replace old shocks..I got one word for ya, Sawzall! After fighting the first rusty top bolt I cut the rest off with a Sawzall and metal blade. Quick and easy removal!

Definitely! I made sure the ramps I already had met the weight requirements of the 4R. The stands are hardly used, and they are in great shape. I would like to get better stands that have a lever to raise them, instead of a pin. Then, I wouldn't need the ramps up front, so I could spin the wheels to get better access to the driveshaft zerks.
I gave the truck a few good shakes from different angles before I got under there. I rather damage just the truck, if anything at all.
