Hello ladies and gents, on Tuesday I bought a '04 T4R Sport with 95k on it and today I put a K&N in there, all weather floor mats, Browning seat covers and changed the oil.

Going through this thread i do not understand how you guys afford to do so many cool things to your 4Rs. And here i am just trying to put gas in the damn thing dreaming of what a nice lift would ride like! haha, one day this military budget of mine will pay off... maybe not.:redbrick:

I was there years ago... military pay and a lot of wishing. It took years of learning and moving up the ladder outside of the military to get to this point. Now, I buy a vehicle and it is paid off in 1 to 3 years. Your day will come! Learn all you can today because it pays in spades tomorrow!

And thank you for putting your life on the line for our freedom. Those of us that volunteer and make this sacrifice is why this is the strongest military in the world. We're not forced, we WANT to defend our country! Bless you soldier!

I served in the Marines 2001-2006. Went in without a penny to my name. You can probably guess by my signature that I'm doing pretty well for myself now. You'll get to where you want to be eventually, just keep your nose to the grindstone.

They're getting put on now, definitely gonna have to trim the rear, fronts might clear. We'll see I guess

Applied a new coating. Stripped down my last sealant, clay and then alcohol wiped to prep then applied the new coating. Time to test for a company.

Ya, I had to cut my rear fender, the bumper cover part, about 6 inches up and at an angle about 3 inches back. Easy though as I'm sure you know. What tire did you go with?

How did you run the wires to get back into the car? Through a door molding? Also are you plugging into the 120v in the middle console?

Installed some hid's. They're the 5k Kensun one's. Ordered them Thursday and they got here Saturday. Anyways, install was real easy, I spent more time messing with the damn double sided tape to mount the ballast than I did actually installing the lights.

Ya, I had to cut my rear fender, the bumper cover part, about 6 inches up and at an angle about 3 inches back. Easy though as I'm sure you know. What tire did you go with?

I bolted them up and I dont rub at all in the front, which was a surprise. Might have to grind down a little of my already chopped body mount and hammer a little sheet metal, but then Ill clear lock to lock at full bump. The back is gonna need more trimmed to stuff though.

I went with the Toyo Open Country MT in a full 35x12.5r17. Found em at a local used tire place for $300 with about 60% tread left and no toe wear. Couldn't pass it up. Hopefully Ill get some pictures up tomorrow, my camera, aka my phone took a shit today.

Pretty much, as you can see in the second pic, the light string just disappears into the door. I just gently shut the rear driver's side door on the light string. That works ok unless there is a real downpour of rain, then I get a little rain in the rear floor, I think that is from the rain running down the twists in the light string, rather than in through the door.

As for power, I ran a 6ft indoor extension cord from the rear driver's side grab handle to an invertor that is plugged into my 12v outlet in the console. I thought about using the cargo are 12v outlet, but having it in the console lets me plug/unplug the lights as needed.
