What did you do with your 4runner today?

Would love to see your reverse lights when you get it done! Are you pioneering this one or using someone else's write up?

i wish i was original! i took the idea from [MENTION=50591]gaterose[/MENTION] , i had looked at his ( http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/134576-led-backup-lamps-03-05-rear-reflector-lens.html ) and also a variation that [MENTION=93434]gshadow325[/MENTION] did, both are great ideas, i just happened to go with Matts.

I'm getting closer on the reverse lights. the reflectors are now trimmed to fit the lights perfectly, my harness is built, and i have the L brackets, hardware, and other odds and ends to install. trimming the housings is awful, I'm a pro at mending cracks and breaks in plastic now though. now i just need to wait for the 30+ inches of snow to fall, then maybe i can install them

How does the color match?

I haven't installed it yet, but I just held it up there in the garage and it seems to be pretty close. The true test will be how it looks outside in the sunlight.

I think it was, I recently moved from greeley to durango so I'm sure were talking about the same storm just different times... it sucked but every one is alright.

Bought a 4Runner

Bought my first Toyota and first 4Runner a couple weeks ago but just around to posting this. Traded my 2012 Wrangler Sport Unlimited for this 2007 Sport with 104,000 miles. Hopefully a long and happy journey to come!

Huge 4Runner weekend. The new tires (so happy), clazzios, removed year old plastidip on my wheels, detailed it, and redid the plastidip on husbands runner wheels from gunmetal gray to black. I'm spent. I feel like I have a brand new car though so it's its own reward! Love it all over again!

That's a good lookin' 'Runner! Any pics of the Clazzio install??

We had a warmer dry day today so I painted the spoiler I got off amazon. Turned on the heater in the garage to warm things up and laid down some adhesion promoter, 4 base coats, and 4 coats of clear. All duplicolor rattle can stuff.

i dont care about the spoiler, I LOVE YOUR GARAGE. its done very nicely!! :wow2:

Lol thanks. It's been a work in progress over the years since I had the house built. I'm pretty much tapped out on space. I want more tools but I don't have the space lol. We're putting the house on the market in late spring - early summer and building a new house. A slightly larger garage AND a basement is on the MUST HAVE list. Then I can have a dedicated workshop/woodshop and possibly a DIY spray booth/room in the basement for painting projects (woodworking is one of my hobbies). I'd also like to be able to park my Tundra and the Runner in the garage.

very cool, my garage was a selling point wen i bought my house. Now its filled with stuff my family puts in there instead of going another 15' to put it in the two sheds i built for that purpose..their junk!

I feel your pain. That's been a constant struggle with my wife and I. She just wants to dump everything in the garage that she doesn't want in the house. Leaving that jogging stroller and the big box for the baby play station (seen in the picture) was a point of contention between us... As you can see, she won that battle

I've been toying with the idea of putting a shed in the backyard but decided not to since we're selling the house soon. Also, I wish I could get the utility trailer out of the garage but I have no where else to put it. I had it at my buddy's house for a while but he bought his own trailer so I had to bring it back home.

Wow, matches up great. That looks like it matches better than mine even without sunlight. The biggest problem I had was once it was in the sun the new paint looked like it had way more metallic flake in it than the original paint but maybe I got a bad batch of paint or didn't get it mixed well enough. When you get a chance to see it in the sun let me know what you think. I think I will redo the fender regardless because I didn't put enough coats of clear on it and it doesn't match the factory well. Nice work.

Thanks for the compliment! Clazzios are ordered. Got black/black (though not what I reaalllly wanted but the price was too good for the black on black so I compromised). Ordered fronts only for 200 because i dont really need them for the back seat. I rarely have anyone back there and use it mainly for my dogs.

Will put up pics asap!

Congrats! Former YJ, TJ, and JK owner myself. A hemi or a diesel are about the only things that would make me switch back.
