Dipped the chrome bits today:

Cleaned the inside & installed my new WeatherTech floor-mats. These are very nice & I'm satisfied with them.

Nice choice with the TID. I'm a big fan of it myself.

Finished up the 1700 mile drive from MD to CO. Had the thing loaded to the brim, but the stock suspension handled it just fine. Took off the mud flaps today for something new. Extremely nice having the V8 in the mountains that's for sure...Now on to lift/tires! If anyone is located within 2 hours and willing to lend a hand/tools for a full OME install (05 SR5) let me know! [emoji1]

Just incase anyone was wondering what the V8 sounds like with no exhaust after the cat I took a little video. I wish I could run it like this all the time. It sounded nice.

Obviously it doesn't sound quite like it does in videos but you can at least get a comparison. If I remember to I will post up a video in a couple of months once it has been broken in. The exhaust does smell bad right now burning off all the crud and baking the paint. Also once the paint cure I will put on the chrome tip that comes with the kit.

installed the spidertrax yesterday. have to trim the bumper today. sounded really bad pulling out of the drive way. got out and im touching the bumper when i turn. should be a quick fix

Touched up my headlights, they were a little fogged on the tops. Took about ten minutes to do both. I had this metal polish laying around so I gave it a shot. It's safe for plastic, I'm sure it would do better if you used a buffing pad. We'll see how long the result last.....

CEL and vsc kept coming on. Checked gas cap, disconnect battery etc. Very rough idle. Found that cyl 6 has issues and the fuel injector dumps fuel in and fills it up. Need to replace the injector apparently. 176k...hope there aren't any more hiccups.

front timing cover leak and the above issue was not solved. I'm skeptical they replaced the injector...only looks like spark plug and coil bolts were touched. My engine bay is dirty so it's easy to see if they were anywhere. Still bucking and misfire on cyl 6. CEL VSC TRAC comes on and then goes off. Hope the code is stored so when I leave it tomorrow they can pull it. Only has half the miles on it that I intended to put on the car...

No need to take emblems off! Go on YouTube and search "how to plasti dip emblems and grille" and watch the video by Fonzi at DipYourCar dot com. It'll give you all the tips you'll need.

By the way, I thought having the Toyota grille emblems blacked out was too much, so I peeled the black off the front and back T's:

With Plastidip you dont have to remove them. Just tape up around them, spray, let it dry for a bit 20min or so then peel off the over spray. It will separate itself along any seams.
