Went to the mountains and had some fun!! Maybe a little too much and got in a little trouble but went with great people that got me out. Ended up high centered and on one wheel.

Obviously it doesn't sound quite like it does in videos but you can at least get a comparison. If I remember to I will post up a video in a couple of months once it has been broken in. The exhaust does smell bad right now burning off all the crud and baking the paint. Also once the paint cure I will put on the chrome tip that comes with the kit.

That sounds a lot better, gonna get this for mine, after I do some other things on it. Why is it black for? Did you paint it or did it come like that?

I painted it. I didn't get the aluminum one as it hardly rains here in AZ. So i got the cheaper one and just hit it with high temp paint for peace of mind.

Finally fixed the grinding noise from the front drivers wheel. New wheel bearing. Used the Dorman hub off Amazon for $28 shipped and the local Napa carries Koyo bearings. With my discount only $104. All quite now. The local Toyota dealer has the TRD pro wheels in stock. May pick a set up since I need new tires anyway, now to justify $1500 to the mrs......

I like the look of these 3rd gen wheels on your 4th gen. Did you need to run spacers to clear anything or just bolt right on?

No, they came with the vehicle when I bought it. Looking at the data plate, it was made in Dec 2002. So technically, it is an 03, but I'm guessing one of the first off the assembly line for the 03 year.

And I goofed the more expensive one is Stainless not aluminum. I would say if you are somewhere where they salt the roads or it rain a lot get the stainless.

Good to know. I just sold a set to a 4th gen guy, though it didn't hit me until after that I've never personally seen them on one. I just assumed that most Toyota 6 lug wheels are compatible, aside from sport models and larger brakes.

Since my daughter decided to live with me for the last year and wants to stay here.
I bought a trailer for this adventure. Went to her mom's house in Alturas,Ca (350mi. one way).
