What did you do with your 4runner today?

[MENTION=87687]LTDSC[/MENTION] 's build thread convinced me to throw together my own extended rear swaybar links instead of buying the expensive Wabfab ones... which are essentially the same thing. Took me a little while with my dinky dremel/cutoff wheel combo, but they came out great.

I was heading through Roseville at about 830 tonight and my outside temp guage said 105 degrees. What's the water levels like at Folsom?

4 grand in body work and still counting... They are trying to decide whether to replace or repair the rear quarter

If they repair, thats going to be a lot of mud on your rear quarter! Just leave the "trail damage" and then upgrade your rear bumper???

The rear quarter is crushed, and folded. I told the guy doing the estimate that I'd really prefer that it gets replaced with new parts. Way too much damage to just leave as is, it's totally crushed in. I just don't think they'll be able to get it folded back out to look right if they repair it.

my small <5mph impact when someone backed in to me at a light was $3400. Its ridiculous.

Yeah to correct the panel, and then part of the rail behind the light there is just time consuming work. Now the issue you will have is they replace the entire quarter and now have to paint match the entire panel with the car as opposed to just the smaller patch work. Its basically shop preference.

Ordered a Volvo part.
Ordered one for my Civic a while ago and love it. Took measurements of my 4Runner's "Oh sh** handle plugs" and the holes are identical to the kit. Hmmmm. The OEM sunglass holder isn't big enough for my Oakleys and the pending GX470 overhead console (to be installed) is even smaller. First world problems.
Anyway, ordered.

Wired up a circuit breaker and 2 fuse boxes as well as some extra 12v sockets in the rear in preparation for all the goodies to come.

wires look so thin, have u try 8 gauge? its cheap now.
