What did you do with your 4runner today?

Absolute dick move on my part but was driving home today and several blocks from my house there was a built up Jeep in the driveway of a development with the entire tire and rim laying several feet from it. Apparently he and an itty bitty Honda civic had a slight altercation. Civic looked fine. Jeep guy was fine, standing there just scratching his head. As I was slowly rolling by I asked if he was ok and he said yes, then I said "it must be a Jeep thing".........
I finally fixed my windshield wind noise! The weatherstripping at the top of the windshield was not right, so I added a bunch of silicone caulk to fill the gap.
The windshield is aftermarket, so the previous owner probably had it replaced. Problems with the windshield install:
I put a bead of caulk on the side trim, and that only helped a little. I ended up adding a bunch of caulk under the top trim, and that fixed most of the noise. I started doing a bead of caulk on the front of the top trim, but I couldn't make it look good, so I stopped. I also taped down the top trim that comes from the roof rack to the windshield with double sided tape (which didn't hold) and put caulk on part of it.
Now I have enough caulk to float across a river! I just hope I don't end up like [MENTION=70631]pjbrownva[/MENTION]

- The windshield is mounted about 3/8" too low
- so the top weatherstripping is not a tight fit like it should be
- and it leaks when it rains (the weatherstripping is not the watertight seal, the adhesive is).
- The vin is covered by a blacked out area, but I guess that's OK. It's easy to find the VIN elsewhere
- The installers scraped the paint on the front of the roof down to bare metal prying out the old one, and it's rusting
- None of the weatherstripping is glued down well
- I'm wondering if it would be safe in a crash if it's not seated properly?
- The glass is pitted, so it might be poor quality. It's not quite to the point where it's worth replacing

Haha.. We are well into the fall here in the Yukon.. It's already snowed a couple of times.

Had to change my GD passenger rear tire this morning! I noticed last night driving home that my TPMS was illuminated but having just crossed 100k miles AND having also just gotten new tires I figured one of the sensors may well have given up on life. All four looked good in the fading light of the driveway and being that we are in the middle of a home move all of my tools are packed including all of my air tools so even if I could find my gauge I couldn't fill the tire anyway.
This morning I leased up my dogs for a walk and sure as shit the Runner is sitting on a rim. Once I swapped on the spare I found the offending screw in the tread so I just tossed the whole shebang in the garage so I can patch it this weekend.

After I got over cryin' about my loss, :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:, I finally decided to man-up, so I took the insurance money, added $8K to it, and now I'm like :dance::dancin::dancin::surfer:

Finally got time to swap out the rear shocks! My rig has needed these shocks for a long time.
Install was a PITA! Only because of the top bolt was completely seized. I finally had excuse to buy a sawzall and hacked them off.
Drove it around and can tell an immediate difference. Very excited to test these out on the trail.

To shot that rifle is on my bucket list. But I refuse to go to Vegas and pay $600 for 5 rounds.
dont know if this helps but when you buy the weathertechs, they come with them. I would give you the factory ones i have but i am using them. the dumb person that vacuums the car at the carwash freaking lost the 2 weathertech ones that came with my floor matts so i had to put back the factory ones.
