What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finally got around to doing my spark plugs. 94k miles. Original plugs, can't say I'm surprised.

First pic is the Denso, the second pic is the NGK. I'd say I was about due.

lol I'd say depending on your year those might be 30k plugs my 08's are out 11 TE has the 90 or 100 what ever they say they are I change them all at 30 belt at 50

For the most part the 4.0 is a 30k copper plug, so I'm about 65k over due.

Installed a Toytec 1/2" spacer lift in the front. XREAS made it kind of a *****, but it took maybe 2.5 hours or so. Didn't use a spring compressor, but used a press on the extended studs.



Also installed this bad boy about two weeks ago. Pretty awesome. I really need to get around to putting my old Scion HU up for sale...

It's a DNX892. It doesn't fit quite as well as it looks, but it's not bad. If I didn't have a JBL system, it'd fit perfect.

I had to sand down the gelcoat in places along the edges on the passenger side just to make them straight (they had some wave to them), but otherwise: it fit awesome.

The driver's side: the mounting area that goes under the hood was bent upwards a bit (actually cracked a little torquing down bolts to get it to lay flat),

I have a pretty good gap at the headlight,

and the fender sits higher than the hood.

it sounds like if I can move it around a little and line up the light first and work backward to make the rest of the tabs fit better, it should fix some of the issues... may mean bending the tab on the inside near the door jamb (This guy: ),

But I've cut the frame on this puppy for the bumper and the body mounts already...Moving that a bit doesn't bother me. I'll let everyone know when I finally get around to it (translate: I was tired and had too many beers :cheers: right after work to care today. The fact that it rained 10 inches [seriously... not a typo] yesterday and I don't have a garage didn't help the motivation either).

P.S. For those of you wondering (I know somebody's gonna ask), these will not work with your stock bumper... once I get em to fit, I'll be stretching and using zip ties (or something equally ghetto and cheap) to make it look decent until I can figure out a bumper...

That being said, I finally took care of all the gaps at the headlight. Moving that tab helped everything else settle into place. But: that meant I got to fill all the holes I drilled last time(holes got fiberglass style fillerfor a little extra strength). :redbrick:

Just a "little" bondo was required...

LCA bushings, greasable bolts, lower ball joints, SPC UCAs, 885x springs, 1/2" spacers with extra 1/4" on drivers side, extended strut mount studs, fender liners moved forward, OEM brake pad clips. Then after this pic did 1.5 rear coil spacers and custom extended sway links. Front has vibs under acceleration, wondering if it's too high or if the CVs are just too old for this kind of angle.

I've got a garage(on Hollywood) if you need a wrench buddy and to stay out off the weather. It's not the biggest but it's better than being outside. Haha

Changed my transfer case, rear end, front diff, and greased my drive lines. My truck has never had flawless working 4WD since I bought it. It goes in 4H and 4L perfectly now. This came out of my front diff. Smelled really burnt and barely anything came out.

It rains heavy here for weeks on end. The freeway floods and the only rigs allowed through are 4WD. I have to get to work somehow.
