Never had them go into protect in the 4 years they've been stuffed back there. I'd don't listen at ridiculous levels for that long of a time. General listening levels where you can still feel the bass, even in the summer, is fine. The front/rear speakers are ~90db sensitivity which probably helps as well. JL XR front and rear, with a W6v2 12" sub.

My 4runner is white, and i don't even think the amps have been more than 'warm' to the touch. I used to be concerned when I first installed, but I don't even think about it anymore.

Working on bearing and seals #2. Can't believe how much mud and crap got in the hub. CV boot while I'm in here. Then everything IS brand new and I should be done up here for a while.

That is down in Slade, KY. The trails are plentiful and cover all levels of driver and build. I have started a few threads about the area. Thanks for the compliments. :cheers:
