What did you do with your 4runner today?

AMEN!!! have to have organization otherwise it will be a spaghetti pile of jumper cables, ratchet straps, and medical supplies.

I should have taken a before pic. I had recovery gear and ratchet straps all over from the snow run Monday and just finally organized it back up so I could throw the hi lift in there. I think I'm going to get some long bolts and wing nuts then attach it to the top shelf. The strap is temporary.

Added AirLift 1000

On Thursday, I installed an AirLift 1000 kit in rear springs. Hopefully this will help with hauling my camper back from hunting spot. Gotta get the camper back home while the weather is still cooperating.

Finally mounted my fire extinguisher and then while I was at it I mounted my new flashlight courtesy of KB Voodoo Fabrications.

Here's the link for the flashlight. He mostly does a lot of Tacoma Fab work, but he might be floating around here since he just picked up a 5th gen runner not too long ago.

Went for a snowy run out to the Rio Puerco for my teenage kid's first off-road lesson. We took my 2015 Tundra, my kid's 2004 4Runner 2WD, and my brother's 2013 FJ. Got too cold for many pics but managed to grab a few:

Lining up for a dune climb;

My kid's first attempt at this and made it up in 2WD.

Heading out along the trail;

Watching Dad get his big Tundra through the box...lol;

4runner's turn;

Up and over to the dunes;

Had to pull the 2WD 4Runner out of the deep sand once out on the dunes, but the kid did great and made his Dad proud...lol. :bravo:

Went to do my retrofit headlights and found out I'm missing my bulb holders from The Retrofit Source. :mad2:

These are the pieces I'm missing (picture stolen from 97BlackAckCL )

Had to reinstall everything and will have to restart once I hear back from them tomorrow.

Had a little fun with some Plasti Dip on the front, polished the headlights, and added SpiderTrax 1.5" wheel spacers. It all subtle, you wouldn't even know it didn't come that way, it just looks a little... Better. More aggressive.

Checked power steering fluid because it was starting to wine, the fluid was solid black :( So I flushed the PS fluid, washed and degreased the engine compartment, and installed my new Sylvania zxe headlight bulbs. They look great! Much whiter and do somewhat compensate for my headlights' oxidation.

They are a direct fit, just brighter, whiter than OEM bulbs. I don't have a picture of how they shine, but I do have a color comparison and can tell you that they are noticeably brighter if you're used to your old ones. Left is a Sylvania Silverstar, right is Sylvania zxe. Sorry, it started to pour as I took the picture. And yes, the cylinders that hold my hood open are shot.

Changed oil.

Tranny drain and fill.

Dremeled (Dremelled??) and cleaned up switch for VSC Off Mod.

Enjoyed my heated seats I put in last week. Man, so nice on the back!!!! :tea:

The exact tire & size I'm looking at. What're your impressions with them so far? What did they replace?

4eigner,
So far so good. I'm running the sport rim, no spacers. However they slightly rub the frame at full lock. They do great on the road and off for an A/T and quiet. I flexed it out at Citrus last weekend and didn't have any issues with the tires contacting the mud flaps.
