Pulled the running boards off my 03 Limited. Really digging how it looks. Next up is to wire some lights to come on with the doors and stuff.

My first real mods
Got the 4Runner 2 months ago and besides some basics (floor mats, fob programing, and a dash warranty) this is my first mod! Got the icons off of the classifieds here and am real excited to turn it into the t4r I have wanted for a long time. Icons went in real easy in an afternoon

Installed a new wheel bearing/hub assembly from [MENTION=100129]nj636[/MENTION]
Super easy installation took about 30 minutes! Going to take the old hub and have it pressed in some new bearings so I'll always have a spare now. Also swapped out my passenger side CV while I had it all apart because it's been weeping worse and worse so going to get it re packed and re booted then I'll keep in the truck as a spare. I always keep 2 with me while wheeling!
Oh yeah the stupid Abs, Vsc and slip light keeps coming off and on, I must have tweaked the wire or sensor in the process of doing this,their super sensitive! It just went off and hasn't come back after doing some highway miles so hopefully it just had to reset itself.

Yes, the holidays made things a little more hectic but it all worked out! Thanks again for putting one together for me on short notice!

Oh also i just posted in my build thread but i figured i'd post up here to..
For those of you guys who wheel and do most of your own work(which is 90% of us on here) i would highly recommend getting one or two of these CV pullers! They work great and make life much easier for swapping out CV's wether on the trail or in the garage. You don't have to worry about taking of your skids or trying to pry it out, just put it around the end, put a little sledge hammer in the loop and pop it out!
They sell them at Southeast Overland and the owner Steve who i've wheeled with before at FJ North easters is a stand up guy and very involved in the 4x4 community and a Toyota enthusiast ( He has the sick built up Blue FJ cruiser with LT in my pictures from the last FJNE run.

Took my rear pass wheel off to see what was going on with a brake grinding noise that appeared somewhat suddenly. Had hoped it was a bend dust shield rubbing but it looks like my brake pad is toast. Going to order new rotors and pads and do both sides. Fronts are newer so this should set me up well for quite some time.
About time I got greasy under a truck again. Haven't really been doing my own work for a while, not since I sold my last offroad truck (FZJ80).
Any recommendations for specific parts/brands? Truck isn't wheeled and only sees about 8k miles/year. 2005 V6 Sport.

I do more miles a year but if you see salt at all. Don't use anything but OE new parts. I tried for a couple years to use Napa stuff and replaced calipers and rotors every 6 months. OE with brakes is the only way to go in my opinion.

well i just had an accident the beginning of the year, the other driver swerve to my lane and side swipe me, damage my pass side fender and my wheels, also my tube step, door clading and rear bumper.
Napa stuff used to be good. Its been garbage for a few years now. I use Powerstop brake kits off rockauto or Amazon. Great kits that last and work just as good as OEM.
I just ordered the front caliper rebuild kit from Toyota and the Powerstop brake kit for the fronts. Calipers are not seized, but for $20 why wait for it to happen:lmao:
