Cool we always stop in metter to eat when we go to Savannah a few times a year. I live in madison, its near milledgeville if you know where that is

Replaced in/out tie rods yesterday with moog. Quality seems on par with oem. Came with new lock washers. Did alignment today. Steering is nice n tight now.

Started by cleaning the frame and underside with bilge cleaner. Left over from the boat. Good to clean grease dirt and grime. Citrus based. Figure is good since used in boats to slosh around on all parts and wires.
Then used a drill and wire wheel to scrape the metal a bit. Actually surprised how little surface rust there was.
Letting dry to tomorrow than I will spray with rustoleam rust converter and paint next weekend.
Figure good to be proactive to keep the underside in good shape.

I'm slowly doing the same. These rust/paint remover wheels blew me away..they're great at removing rust.

I just got this set. Worked well. But I really didn't have any flaking at all. Was shocked. Think I am getting to it before it gets bad. I am kind of an anal guy so just seeing any rust was driving me crazy. I also cut up a beer case to use to protect what I don't want painted. Hopefully it isn't windy tomorrow.

Also anything I definitely shouldn't paint? Will use the rust converter than the chassis paint after.

When I first started I was under my car with the wire wheel. My roommate saw me and offered me the rust/paint removal wheel. I said sure I'll give it a shot. It blew through the rust. The wire wheel was still used in tight spots though.
I need to make these..Worked on one of the rear cargo boxes.
