I programmed my buddy's remote so he polished my headlights.[emoji106]
Finally fixed the shake at 60mph. Bad rear u joint.
Nice and smooth freeway driving[emoji106][emoji106]
I went with moog from autozone. Thanks t-man[emoji106][emoji106]
Also wrapped the custom console panel that is going to replace the pocket door.

Exchanged the tranny fluid in my wife's gx470 today. And I found out it has a stock aux tranny cooler!
And way the truck has 103k miles on it and the fluid looked aweful! It didn't smell burnt but looked like motor oil.
The first spot is the from the pan drop. The second was the last of the exchange. The third is new in the bottle.

Love the custom carbon fiber look and use of the space. Looks awesome!!!
Do you still have your old pocket door? Interested in parting with it? I'm assuming it's the flat black?

Woah woah woah. Gonna need some details on that cubby replacement. Did you make it yourself? What did you use? How are you making it stay in the cubby spot? I have been looking for a way to make that area more useful for a while and this looks like a winner!

I'm gonna hang onto the pocket for now. But if I change my mind, u got dibs[emoji106]. It's just a 1/8th think piece of wood I got out of packaging material from a Golden Ear triton speaker box. The 12volt stuff I got off Amazon. I'm thinking outing a small black screw in the four corners into the plastic. The head of the screws should be plenty strong and it would only leave a small hold in the plastic. It's all gonna be wired to my aux battery. I wanted to leave room for future switches or other stuff.

I replaced the front sway bar bushings.
Snapped 3 of the 4 bolts, I sprayed the crap out of them and didn't even use the breaker bar. Drilled and cleaned the threads, replaced with grade 12.9 bolts.
Replaced the melted rear hatch button.
Pulled 3 40 year old boxwood bushes from the front yard.
I also helped my buddy change the diff fluids in his Rubicon, then drove it around the block. Driving it made me glad I have the runner, busted bolts and all. It did make me wish I thought about an 80s series more.

Went to the KAT (Kentucky Adventure Tour) for a day of testing out the 4Runner's capabilities. I don't really have anything to compare it to, but I was very impressed with the places we went. Of course I missed pictures of a lot of the hard obstacles since I was busy trying to get over them or not get stuck but here's a few highlights of the section of trail that we ran...
The start at NADA tunnel
Lots of easy stuff like this
Mud holes that I opted to turn around at in Hard 1
Big rocky hill in Hard 1 that I met some 4 wheelers and UTV's on, they were impressed to see a 4Runner there!
Some big rock steps if you really want to play, there was an easier but still fun route around
Cool creek bed trails winding through the rock
Also, about 500 miles after running the new wheels (and completely forgetting about this nanny) the TPMS light came on for the first time ever since I've owned it. Being far from home and late at night, I pulled up the trusty forums, pulled the passenger kick panel and shorted the one wire to ground. I need to remember to go back and clean that connection up properly now.

imagine this is going to go a lot like my job at Circuit City, back when I had a major audio/video hard on. You will be leaving your paychecks there, just to pay for your mods. LOL

Yea I want to leave it open for switches too. So you just cut the wood to the size of the opening, and then you are planning on screwing it in to the plastic on the dash where the old box clipped in? Thanks!

Yes. I used the pocket door as a template. The door is curved kinda weird. So after the first cut I came back and trimmed about 1/8inch off all sides to give a good fit after the vinyl was wrapped around.
I'm no pro. But I've worked next to custom car audio guys for a long time. It came out ok. Could be better. I never have time so I kinda threw it together. I'm not thrilled about how it's mounted but it is in there secure. I'll probably wire it to a ignition switch later. It is and will be run off my aux battery. That's why the voltage is kinda low. I didn't know what color the led display was when I bought it. I might go to blue later on. I hate red lights! I always think of bad with red display lights. Sorry for the shitty pics. It was in my garage with little sun light.
Also did a power steering flush. It was beyond black!!

Trimmed, reinstalled, and seal internal snorkel. Reinstalled RH fender, original.
Got and installed new LH fender. I know I get what I pay for, but can't quite figure out the mismatch with the hood ... measurements all seemed good. Gonna need some tweaking when my CBI hardware comes next week ...
