What did you do with your 4runner today?

Did a tire rotation earlier in the week, started fishing-tailing on my way into work this morning after a light rain. Guess my tires were worn more unevenly than I thought. :hiding: Front passenger had excessive wear on outer edge, think it was caused by worn balljoints and bushings.

Ordered new tires for under $500: 265/70 Falken Wildpeak AT3W

The question is, leave my current tires on for the summer and make sure the uneven wear is gone, or just throw the new tires on and cross my fingers. Current tires are mostly ~9/32, I hate to toss them when they have so much thread left.

I turned her partway back into a ski rig (only put 1 button down 6 on top and removed 2 of 4 bike trays) to go chase the elusive white fluffy Pow Pow one more time! I couldn't resist skiing in over 2 feet of snow tomorrow!!!!!

I reversed the process and now she has all 4 bike trays back on top and is she is ready to be a bike hauling machine!!!

I replaced this:

That used to be the + wire terminal. It was completely corroded away. While I was in there I installed a new Motomaster Ultimate AGM battery.

DIY tip, you can pour a can of coke (anything carbonated should actually do it, but I've found coke works the best) and it'll eat away most of the corrosion. Follow up with a glass of water to rinse away the coke and you should be good for awhile.

Changed my oil and installed my Fumoto valve. So, to tally it up, this weekend I installed:

- 5100s all for corners
- ome885s up front
- spidertrax
- adjusted the rear ras

My other half was a little shocked when she saw the aftermath. "You wrecked it."

Checked torque on everything real quick, greased my driveshafts and then checked fluids for the trip next weekend. Everything looks good.

Finally took it for a test drive almost 1 year since I bought it! (I had to put in a new transfer case) Dropped in a new battery bosch blue top. Took it off of non op yesterday paid my registration and now it's time for a smog check.

Yeah, that or wash with a baking soda solution and rinse. I'll do that sometime soon... One step at a time, I don't go that fast!

thinking of removing the whole back seat for my camping/ off road trips and build a storage area and use the seat hinge for the lid. never seen it done before and i remove the seat bottom anyway for a sleeping area being 6' 2"

you would have almost a foot of space between the floor and storage top.

and around 5 inches around the seat floor

At least a 100% performance increase.

Drove her with 3 bikes on top and 3 passengers to Buffalo Creek Co to ride 22 miles of MTB goodness!!! The T4R is such a great transporter of toys!!!!
