LMAO I was waiting for that!!!!!! That was right after I filled up and was on the freeway for 40miles. I'm just under a quarter tank now on the same fill up as the picture, now I'm down to 19.0mpg still not too shabby I guess.

Ah... So it was all just trickery. I think I could do 17 to 19 when I was stock... I don't even wanna talk about it now. Let's just say I could make the gas station my second home lol

Not at all shabby I wish I could keep mine there I just drive it too hard and need to learn to set cruise . Getting on interstate now will reset and set cruise be right back with update

do you guys experience the "2mpg" less in reality compared to the in-car computer? long ago, i read a thread that the computer is generally 2mpg off. mine is always 2mpg off on numerous comparisons with full tank/miles driven calculations. . im running 265/70R17s in a 03 LTD V8.

I think the general consensus on here is that the trip computer is "optimistic". But I do have to say, mine has always been pretty much spot on compared to hand crunched numbers. Both before and after mods. Guess my computer is just smart.

Mine is pretty accurate as well, which is unfortunate because it says 10.3 mpg
lol. mine must be dumb then. hahah
i get about 18mpg according to the computer but i can go about 320miles on a tank. i always roughly calculate to about 15-16mpg.
my driving habbits are pretty normal but i notice sometimes certain tank fillups yield awesome real mpg (18-20mgp) and other times normal (15-16mpg). so strange.
I usually get around 120-140 to half a tank from full... fml
surprisingly, when the low range got stuck and i had to drive 120 miles at 25-30mph. i ran 90 miles in less than a quarter tank, i still have a little over 3/4s of a tank left.
I just havent driven the truck since... you know, its stuck on low gear and i havent had time to fix it.

I got the hard parts of my Satoshi completed. I haven't seated the grill into the frame yet because I'm getting it powder coated tomorrow.
I used 1/2" #13 expanded metal. I think it was way overkill. I would have preferred something just a bit more bendable. Shaping that stuff was a pain in the ass. But, my father in law had a small bit of it left just large enough for my grill so that's what I used. I think I may also prefer that the diamonds went horizontal instead of vertical but I only had the one small piece to work with.
We'll see after it's powder coated and installed. Maybe I'll like it just fine.

You made the right choice. I used cheaper stuff and a lot of the points broke when I bent it.

Wheeled the last unarmored ride up a hogback in Gallup. Great times! Saw a tranny temp spike to 280F on a sandy hill climb [emoji52]
Installed my RCI skidplate and front CBI bumper ... fog lights and winch coming soon. (Hard to believe those guys are so behind on having an installation guide for the $ spent, but I love the finished product!) Rear and sliders next week. [emoji1303]
Midway thru saw a radiator drip. Had nightmare visions of strawberry milkshake [emoji497] ... installed a Hayden tranny cooler stat.
Touched up some bumper paint and went out for a rock ride and nice fast highway drive. Tranny stayed under 170F the whole time. [emoji1303]

This last weekend I went out and my rig wouldn't start, got it jumped then it wouldn't stay running, replaced the battery and still died then replaced the alternator then it's been fine ever since. Interesting they went out both at the same time. Also the light squealing on warm up went away, must have been working a little extra hard. My lift fund got drained though to keep it running.

That used to be the + wire terminal. It was completely corroded away. While I was in there I installed a new Motomaster Ultimate AGM battery.
It's ALIVE!!! Lol
