What did you do with your 4runner today?

Because I can't yet start threads of mine, a request for others:
Head gasket blew on my '06. Can you please share the part numbers of what you ended up replacing, if you went DIY?

I don't need mine fixed right away, so I'll shop around for the cheapest (OEM) parts and bringing the parts with me to my mechanic.
Will be taking this opportunity to replace water pump, serpentine belt and pulleys at the same time (got a 12k mi road trip coming up).

So far I've got:
- Overhaul gasket set: 04111-31343 ($232.86)
- Oil pan sealer: 00295-00103 ($11.12)
- Water pump: 16100-09471 ($121.63)
- Serpentine belt: 90916-02571 ($66.93)
- Idler pulley: 16603-0P030 ($98.50)
- Tensioner: 13550-AD010 ($62.15)

Still looking for part#'s of:
- Head bolt set (otherwise getting a set of FelPro's ES 72249 @ $49.78)

Did I get this right? Anything I forgot?

Installed my new OME 885s to replace my stock springs on the 5100s and removed my sway bar. The runner drives so much better with the 885s! Not having a sway bar in front will take some getting used to though haha.

UltraGauge blue and my custom gauge layouts. So worthwhile. I've loaned it to a bud who keeps needing to fix a check engine light. He finally bought some other brand of Bluetooth reader for $13. No reason not to. I like my UltraGauge setup but have nothing to compare it against so far.

I'm not sure how I remembered that you payed off your truck, but missed the fact that you are getting married. Either way congrats. I know it's not cheap, and that it IS stressful. It's worth it afterwards. I'm a 2 year Verteran. We celebrated 2 weeks ago.

And back to the truck. Vinyl came out great. Can't wait to see the next mod.

Does anyone know the thread pattern for the running board bolts? I lost mine, and can not get the pattern because I don't have any bolts that thread correctly. My 4 year old asked me to put them back on, so I figured I would try them out.

Picked up four of these bad boys to go with my lift. Everything's getting installed Thursday. I'm hoping I didn't get them too big. They're 275/70/18 the lift is a 3/2 Toytec lift. I also got a 1" body lift but told the mechanic not to put it on if it's not needed. I think it might be. We'll see.

Which toytec 3/2 did you get, spacer? coils? coilover? Your prob gonna need the BL especially if its a spacer lift. Possibly get away without if Coilover.

I can't say for sure but if I remember correctly they are the standard 10mm bolt that is used throughout various parts of the body. Pull one off the fender under the hood and see if it threads in.

I bought some new tires being installed today.


I finished welding my customer roof rack. First welding project ever, and it was a blast. It will mount onto the stock bars.


I am also close to finishing my customer drawers. Full extension 36 inch.
