What did you do with your 4runner today?

20 minutes! you're either a master or i took way too long, ha. good to know the duplicolor holds up. the G2 paint was <$40, epoxy type and cured with a gloss finish. only went with blue since my 'runner is blue. staying clean is what its all about. good luck getting that other caliper, stock has been tough lately...

Yeah I had to order from two different places its in the mail though. 1 from rockauto and the other from Brakepartsworld or something like that. Yeah 20 min, its easy as dripping it on and brushing it into place. self levels and its on a clean brand new caliper. Last time I did it on a brushed up rusty caliper and the paint held up like new for 2 years and i did it on the truck. Its honestly so easy id do it every year if it needed to be refreshed.

So what's your rear height measurement now compared to the front?
Why ome' sand not the icons 2.0 LT shocks for those springs.

this is Anza Borrego. Took her out today to test out the new suspension and tires. Man, it rode like a dream on going 40-50 on the dirt roads. washboards.... what washboards? i couldn't believe how well it could ride!

cooper at3 handled the windy roads back home in the rain w ease!

man, didnt realize how bent my running boards are. i high centered back at holy jim way back when you could actually drive off the main road w/o fear of a citation. those will be deleted soon and replaced with some sliders.

With FJ's and 1.5" spacers the rear was at RR=38.25" LR = 37.875" with the MT LT's RR = 40.25" LR = 39.875" and fronts are at RF = 38.75" LF = 38.75". I have decided to go with OME's because after researching and reading a bunch of info on this setup, going with the Icons require increased bump stops which causes a loss of about 2.5 - 3" of up travel. The OME's compressed length of 15.23" vs the MT Icon's of 17" allows for use of stock bump stops thus not decreasing up travel yet still has 11.26" of shock travel which is only .24" less than the MT Icon's thus not affecting down travel or total articulation amount. Also, after today's test run I will be keeping both sway bars off now.

Nice ... Great info man. so that would put me at dead level. Best part l like is you keeping the sway bars off. I luv having them off feels good.
Since you have researched this more than me, where would the fox 2.0 2"-3" rank as far as needing or hopefully not with bump stops.
Cause my assumption was the bumps tops were needed cause of those springs not the shocks themselves.

Miah, I have attached a list of shocks that will help you determine the lengths of the shocks you are looking for. It lists the compressed and extended lengths as well as the over all travel length. From my reading, 15.5" is about the max length a shock body can be to allow the axle to rest on the stock bumps without fear of over compressing the shock. Anything over that and the shock is now acting as the stop with the potential for damage. Also keep in mind tire size, with 35's extended bump stops are required to keep the tires from rubbing in the wells at flex, but 33's and smaller seem to be fine without any rubbing on full flex with stock bumps. The MT LT Icons extended length is 28.5" and the OME is 26.49", but remember you loose the 2+" of up travel. Ultimately it depends what you want, more up travel or more down travel, I am opting for more up travel as I will never be a rock crawler, I am more a dirt, desert, speed bump basher. LOL! One other thought, I am using the MD coils which they do not sell any more which is a 104 / 250lbs spring rate, you would probably go with the HD which is a 104 / 300lbs since you have added weight in the rear of yours, I do not and do not plan on adding anything.

New Michelin Defender Tires. Got 70,000 miles out of the M/S 2's, and that after slacking off on the rotations. Hopefully these go just as long.

Drove it to the golf course and back. Shot a 95.
Came back to the 4Runner only to have a blue onyx pearl 2016 Land Cruiser parked next to me... damn it!
 
Back at the beginning of April I was out in Gorman with some fellow 4runners, finally got around to editing the video I took.
