What did you do with your 4runner today?

Put up a shot on how far they stick out if you can! I had 06 tube steps and theybstuck out to far, would like something closer for wife and kids!

I tried the gunmetal and metalizer a few weeks ago. It didn't work with mines dark blue color. I ended up doing black with the metalizer. The only issue is couple hundred miles of gravel roads and the metalizer is almost all worn off. :mmph:

Spray paint over the dip!! it will last and you can choose what you want. Have done this 3 times 1st lasted 2.5 years until I removed. 2nd I didn't like the color, and just spray painted over, which is still on. for 6 years I have had dip with spray paint on top. Like a thick candy shell ;-)

Finally got around to getting the new gears installed in the e-locker rear. Hopefully we can do the front next week. Tired of my 4Runner sitting on jack stands.

Only had the passenger diff seal and a few hours of dry weather after work to get the old axle out and the new axle in.

Mid job


Hopefully doing drivers side and brakes tomorrow.

Gonna weld channel iron to the frame to bring them about about an inch and a half, plus then I can bolt to the channel iron instead of the big ass self tapping screws I used to hold this side on

Bike mount done!

Finished my inside bike mount this morning. Total cost was about 45bucks giver or take.

Not bad! I mounted my quick disconnects to the shelf top piece directly.

Got my front and rear diff fluid changed. Toyota also did the transfer case fluid as well. Noticed a huge difference. That "grind" is gone. Seems to drive better and seems quieter.
Then dropped it off at the body shop and they were going to work on some of the scratches. Also got some Morhers lvr for the interior.

I'd been second guessing for a while about whether or not I really needed to use one of those headlight restoration kits. I picked the Sylvania kit and wow - what a difference!

Nice day and oddly light traffic in my area today so I wrung out the V8 a bit on some backcountry roads. Its damn easy to accidentally tap 90+ in these trucks without realizing it. :lookout: :madgrin:

All new brake rotors and pads. Also replaced the front left caliper due to a seized piston discovered along the way.
Should Good for another 60-70K miles...
Passed state inspection and emission for some new windshield stickers.

Took off my front passenger door panel and grounded part of the hook that holds the door from swinging wide open. Something happened and my window kept on hitting the outside part of the hook. Same thing happened last year to the drivers side. The windows would go down and stop halfway.

I don't see any change in how the windows went down. Nothing got damaged, but from the looks of how its constructed, there is very little room between the window and that door hook when the window goes down. I guess with age, something shifted or got a little bit out of whack.

I've had both the drivers side and passenger side freeze on me. At different times though.

I picked her up from the shop after getting a cracked AC line replaced and an alignment done after installing Camburg BJ UCA's!!! Now she blows cold air, has more downward travel, and caster #'s are G2G.

Tomorrow we're headed out to do some camping over the Memorial Day weekend. We're headed to the Great Sand Dunes National Park, going to explore the Bonanza Off-Highway Vehicle Tour, explore Salida, and ????
