What did you do with your 4runner today?

Ya that's what I heard to. If nobody else is making one might have to buy a used Tundra that I can put one on our already had one.
I think Magnussen is working on a supercharger.

Just mounted my diy rack. Have to make a fairing as it sounds like a jet taking off over 60kph

The supercharger's got picked up by another company, same supercharger just without the TRD Toyota logo.
Or the actual company who makes and designed the TRD supercharger for Toyota is keeping them in production even though Toyota has dropped it from the TRD line and Toyota.

Something like that..I apologize. I remember reading an article when it first went down. Also somewhere on here or Toyota120 I came across a thread talking about it and someone seemed to know some solid info on the matter.

I always liked the look of the low lights and the ones inside the headlights. after owning the truck for about 7 months, I just noticed there are corner marker lights inside the headlight assembly. so I wired them into the lower drls and now have all four corners lit-up for drls! yeah! took about 15 minutes.

Just a quick heads up. I did something similar (albeit with 4 try DRLs), and I had an issue where they kept turning off for some random reason. Turns out I was pulling to much power for the relay. It's only rated for 4x27w (2x27w for front, 2x27w for the back). If you find that the DRLs/marker lights are randomly turning off, that might be why. But I hope it works for ya! Lets see some pics!

I have a little bit of welding experience and I am seriously considering making a rack like this. It looks great! What was the total cost of the materials? Could you make the mounts smaller/lower? Did it simply mount in to all of the factory holes?

Seems like all you would need to do is find a stronger relay. I'm a wiring noob though!

I looked in to that but it's a weird relay and a pain in the :moon: to access because it is behind the interior fuse box. I guess you could, but my (very brief) searching a while ago didn't give me any great results.

So i ordered the 4th gen cup holder insert from amazon for the $35. totally worth every penny. I looked around for a cheaper one, not really available. I looked at the mods online, not gonna do that. I am kinda upset I didn't order this day one of owning the truck but oh well.

Got the Weathertech front laser measured floorliners delivered. They fit nice but I thought they had the sharkteeth carpethooks underneath like the Husky liners have. I guess I did poor research, ah well, these should work ok, they don't slide around much since they fit so tight.

i have the normal front weathertechs and i love them. no sliding or anything. they have the hook that the stock ones had too.

Spent the day climbing Rollins Pass via Jenny Creek up to Yankee Doodle lake and the Needles Eye. Was an amazing little trip.

That road over Rollins was originally a railbed built about 1880 or so before the Moffat Tunnel was drilled in 1928, there's a lot of history there. The old Boulder Wagon Road cuts off just below Yankee Doodle where the campground is, that road dates back to about 1860. Just above Yankee Doodle they tried to drill a tunnel also. The Moffat Tunnel also added in a cutoff for the Williams Fork River to divert Western Slope water to the Front Range via South Boulder Creek. Those oldtimers were some drilling sumbeeches. The old Boulder Wagon Road is closed now because too many knuckleheads with 4WD tore it up thinking alpine meadows are mudbogs to play around in. Just stating some history to go along with the pics.

Just stick a few strips of stick on velcro to the backside of the WTechs if they move too much for your taste. Before anyone says it, yes, for the price, I totally agree that WTech should have addressed this. :israel:

Went for a ride, they feel pretty good as taxzz said. Tight fit keeps them from slipping, but I would like the sharktooth underside. I'll keep them. Thanks for the velcro tip.
