so it wasnt today but this Saturday... My mother-in-law cleared her property of the last big fir trees and this was load number 2 of what the timber company didnt want to take. mostly the fat bottoms and curvy bases, some were the tops or smaller alders.

This was about the max that the v8 would handle with the bigger tires and stock gearing. I only went 7 minutes down the road at about 35 mph max, all rural roads. I think that I may eventually re-gear, at this point I have all the get up and go I need.

now to get it unloaded and split for next year...

DDM HIDs

i was getting bored waiting for PA and MI election results so i decided to install my DDM HIDs which i just picked up today. they look great, much brighter than my sylvania zxe.

i've been doing some maintenance on my 4R and one fog light was out. So instead of buying new 9006 bulbs for the fogs, i moved my headlight bulbs to the fogs and bought a DDM HID kit with 4500K bulbs... near the same price for some halogens. no brainer! i was about to buy the kit online and decided to check their location. whaddaya know! they are 5 minutes from my house! stopped by there today and picked up a set. i'll prob be picking up some for my fogs later when they die and some for my wife's sienna.

i have to re-aim my headlamps as i just bought new housings last week. that's next on my list. i dont drive at night much. if i do, its with the family in the sienna.

What'd you use for material? The last rubber stuff that I grabbed from Home Depot didn't hold up for very long last time I did it.

Google search this guy. Just bought some. There AWESOME!! Worth the $50

When I made my splash guards a few years ago I used this stuff from McMaster Carr.....it still looks brand new and has no signs of wear.

I bought one :thumb: Silver '03 SR5 V8 4WD with 154K miles. The first 2 of the 3 total owners had all maintenance and repairs done at Toyota dealers, last owner went to independent shops and has every receipt and invoice, the independents replaced the timing belt/water pump and brake calipers.

This must have been garage kept and regularly had the underside rinsed during the winter, because there's minimal (just surface) rust on the frame and suspension. Paint looks original, doesn't look like it ever had any repairs done.

Did you tint the entire front windshield? I'm sure that's highly illegal but I'd love to know if you found a loophole cause it looks sick

Question. are those bright cone spots towards the center supposed to be there? I haven't aimed my headlights yet. Not sure if that is normal bc I don't recall those w the oem housings.

Hid's aren't supposed to be ran in reflector headlights (2003-2005) good reason why the cone may be there. That being said I do have hid's in mine as well, never bee flashed at, so it's working for me. As far as the cone, not really sure.

ah, did not realize u shouldnt. i did read that HIDs increase glare...?

anyways, the "cone" was there even with my sylvania halogens.

Is your 285 at3 in the spare location fully inflated?

I bought a used tire off ebay that had 9/32 tread left, it is a nitto grappler and it is fully inflated.
