What did you do with your 4runner today?

Got bored today so I took some VHT satin black engine enamel and touched up my visible mud stained exhaust and muffler. Experimented with it and now it looks like a brand new exhaust. This will keep me sane until I am ready to upgrade
Think that would work with wheel wells?

did a pad swap, using the hawk lts pads again. and also used a flex hone https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007INTE3Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on all the rotors so i got fresh surface again. will bed them in later on. also readjusted the parking break. 3 clicks return after i expanded in the rotors.

Drove up to Mammoth mountain for some early season skiing. The snow was actually decent and the truck handled like a champ.
Parked at the base of mammoth. Just got these Cee Bailey sunshades right before the trip and they're excellent.
On the way home, we took a detour to to check out Convict Lake.
We also drove up to Mt. Whitney portal and saw this awesome waterfall.
Should be the final trip while she's still stock. Should have some goodies arriving in the next few days!

You can use Imgur. Just click the image (from the "Images" view) and select the size you want from the bottom right of the pop-up. I usually go with "Large Thumbnail" for forum posts

Absolutely, the difference with this stuff is that its temperature specific allowing the paint to last in 550-1000 degree temperatures hence why it's an engine enamel. I just chose this because I knew the exhaust system heats up especially being in Florida sun, so this particular paint is the best to go with.
Now as far as your wheel wells you could use any paint for that, you dont need VHT bc it's not a heated area but you could if you'd like. But if it's not a laminate-kinda finish or glossy it will get dirty quickly.
I did my wheels wells once with rubberized undercoating and that did no good. So I used real truck bed liner (herculiner) and now my wheel wells will stay black and new looking for years to come. Reason I say laminated is because all of the grime/dust will be washed away when water hits it keeping it clean looking
Ugh. Guys I seriously can't even believe this happened. Absolutely unbelievable. Parked outside on the street while I was inside for my small group when we hear a crazy loud noise. My first reaction was saying "Sh**, I hope that wasn't my car." Sure enough the small group leader peaked out and just gave me that look. Go outside to find this.
The damage isn't as bad in pictures, but it will need a whole lot of work if they don't total it out. I'm super upset because of all the time and money I spent on her. We'll see what the claims adjuster says tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Thanks. Yes very drunk. There was a fifth of Fireball that was empty as well as an empty shooter of Fireball. Pretty bad stuff. Nobody was hurt which was good; just pretty upset about the whole situation.

A day at Tahuya
On Saturday I met up with a few local guys to head out to an ORV park that I have been going to for the last 10 years. They had never been, so I led the group. They had heard stories of people taking their stock ford escape through so they thought it would be something akin to a forest service road.
The thing I love about Tahuya is that you can make it as hard or as easy as you want. They have several rock gardens, but they are not part of the trail. they have hill climbs, but they have bypass routes. There is a lot of mounds in the trail to let you test your flex, but you can drive through them such that you miss the worst of them.
These guys did great for never experiencing this type of trail. It was a 5th gen - Robert, a Tacoma - Torn, and a fairly stock cherokee - Peter and of course our 4th gen.
We headed into the park and took the main loop. I have been on the loop and still get turned around a bit as they are always trying to add to the park. It is a DNR working forest and it is used by everything from dirtbikes to ORVs to horses. We started at about 2 on the trail and didnt get back to the main staging area till around 5. and currently it gets dark at about 445... so night wheeling!

pic is taken at an angle, doesnt rub at all. has 2 1/2" between tubes and tire at ride height.
