Finished timing belt and related parts install. Glad I didn't wait for 100k considering the condition of the timing belt tensioner and idler pulley bearings and how the water pump was leaking without me noticing. Some of the spark plugs were also out of spec so I'm glad I opted to replace them.
Found a big, flammable, mouse nest under the intake manifold which prompted me to make this tool to remove it. After an hour of using the shop vac and compressed air, it should be safe now.

Nice! I think I bought the last of the Diffused off Amazon but I know the two retailers on amazon said they had more coming. I'm stoked to get these on! :rockon:
I haven't opened them up yet but the pair is a "back Up Kit" and it appears there is more wiring included than just the single pod which might knock up the prices a little. But not sure.

Guys name is whorerunner on instagram. It's an... interesting.. build. Spindle lift in the front and bags in the rear. Not my cup of tea but to each his own.

Finally bought my 4runner after 2months of searching got it for 8700 its an Sr5 4x4 with 154XXX miles with sunroof and "spoiler" and few other goodies has quite a bit of receipts and exterior is in good condition and as is the interior minor wear and tear (leather) and a few dash light out on the (havoc i think is what its called)

The amount of money's he's dropped on that 2WD could build two other 4WDs.
Congrats! Sound system was my first upgrade, stock speakers sounded worse than my phone speaker =O What stereo did you end up with?Hubby installed my Christmas present. A 12" 400watt sub and new stereo, etc. I'm so excited to have some good sounding tunes. By the way, my kids think I'm the coolest mom ever. Just saying...

So some "cool" things are happening... picked up a cheap ebay snorkel for an LC 80. I started by trimming the template and then mocking up the location.
I had to get some encouragement from my wife to drill the first hole. But in the end I love the idea of doing mods that take some guts to do.
The snorkel tube lines up very well with the factory intake location... this may be both a good and a bad thing.
The mockup is as far as I got today. I need to get some fittings and some backer rod and black caulking.
I also plan to heat the neck of the snorkel and bend it more in line with the A-Pillar. Also plan to pick up a pre-filter/particulate separator like this...
Here is the finished product in the daylight!
All in all I am really happy with the results and it was fairly inexpensive and can be done without professional help. the biggest part of this is to make sure you have a high enough temp heat gun. I also used the wood stove to help warm up the whole snorkel before making the final tweaks.

Man turn out pretty good. Just need a heat gun.. but I don't know about a wood stove.
