What did you do with your 4runner today?

I was going to remove them to do it but one of the screws to remove it was stripped so I just taped everything off and did it while they were attatched

Well.... I caved yesterday and picked up a GX470. This is a super clean GX from Texas with 124k. Just had $2k worth of maintenance done, including timing belt and water pump, as well as new rear air bags/coils. The 4Runner was great to me, but the GX is definitely another level comfort which helps since I spend a lot of time in the car. Definitely needs to be leveled in the front! And I have headroom again!

We got some alone time down by the river. Steep trail going down, 4lo got a workout. Much more fun going up.

Driving by the beach and I saw this guy backed in, so I threw the bull horns on for a photo opp with the lifeguard Toyota.
I finally got my front windows tinted. The backs have a limo tint so it really made the clear fronts stand out. Went with a 35% tint.
Sadly... I had to take the bullhorns off to put on the ipf LEDs. One flood and one spot.

Went mudding for the first time - Was quite a bit of fun but probably won't do it again! Cleaning up took the better part of Sunday.

Finished putting together an adapter harness to convert the 12-pin DRL type hazard flasher (which nobody makes a LED compatible version of) to the common non-DRL 8-pin type, then installed a Diode Dynamics SmartTap flasher

Got out and enjoyed the weekend, then gave them both a bath today.
Nice! I have loved riding dirtbikes since I was a wee lad. Sold my Tacoma in November, and now I have to look into outfitting my 4R with a rear hitch dirtbike rack. Have any details you can provide on how that solution works for you?

This is a cheap harbor freight aluminum carrier and my 3rd year using it with no issues. While I don't trust the carrier with my big 500lb bike it's no concern with the 200-300lb bikes. I also recommend firestone or airlift rear air helpers, I pump mine up to 30-35 psi before loading the bike and you wouldn't even know it's back there. If this carrier ever fails me I'll get a versahaul brand next go round. Heavy steel but built to last, can carry the big bike, and has room to add some LED taillights in the back panel.

Ok, good to know, thanks. I've gone back to my roots, and the YZ125 is my fun machine. So that lightweight HF carrier will definitely handle this little lightweight 2-stroke. (cool to see some fellow dirtbike guys)

Not 4runner related but it is Toyota so going to share anyways:
Took the road trip wagon / sienna / man van / swaggin wagon on yet another road trip, this time to Ohio from NC for the Arnold Classic. 251,000 on the odometer.
Car was loaded down with 5 250lb powerlifters and I guess I had my tires under-inflated for that load, so we got a flat tire on the way back last night right after we left. Since no tire shops were open then in the middle of nowhere, we made the entire trip back from Ohio, 400+ miles, on the toy spare. This is the second time I have done this, last time was ~200 miles from the mountains with my YZ250 hanging on the trailer hitch. I realize it's not recommended but there weren't exactly any other options considering the timing and location. Makes me really appreciate my full sized spare on my 4runner!
Now it's time to drive to Florida!
