Thanks for posting the pictures. I'm going over Cinnamon Pass as part of my route in a week and a half. Was there much traffic? Any suggestions for stops or highlights along that trail?

do not miss the side trip to american basin. its super short but incredible wild flowers. drive to the end and hike up the creek a bit too if you have the time. american basin is a great place to get out of the truck and have lunch, snack, beer etc.

animas fork is an old ghost town thats highly intact so is also a great place to stop and read about the history. its at the start of the trail on the silverton side. pretty amazing how miners survived at that elevation in the winter in the late 1800s.

lake san cristabol(sp?) on the lake city side is dubbed the most beautiful lake in colorado, so also a note worthy stop to sit and enjoy the views.

i know you didnt mention it, but if u have time, i highly recommend at least driving to the top of engineer pass. the views are unsurpassed imo. have a great trip!

oh and traffic wasnt that bad. id go on a weekday if possible but we went on a sunday and there were ppl out, but we were able to pass and be passed without the trail feeling too crammed

Nothing picture worthy here, but after running a few thousand miles without a sway bar, I re installed it. God I was missing out. I thought it drove fine without, but I found myself driving home on 121/128 from lake berryessa and god damnit those winding roads were killing me. I'm just going to get new end links and bushings keep those sway bars installed from now on.

Longevity of Sonax

Got some new wheels, detailed the truck, and took it out for a little photo shoot. Thanks to LTDSC for the polish suggestion.

Detail process
- Wash
- Clay bar
- Wash
- Polish with Chemical Guys V36 (Stuff is amazing)
- Sealed with Sonax Polymer Net Shield
- Waxed with Meguiars

How has the experience with the sonax been? Was it the ceramic coat?
I waited for this to be years old before asking your opinion on the product. I"m dedicated.

Honestly, I used it once and it's been fine. It's easy to apply and water beads nicely, but don't expect any life changing shine or anything.

The Sonax I used was the spray version from Amazon.

I have a limit strap on the back side of the LCA. I strapped it just above full droop.

I think next time around with the suspension I'll keep the swaybars removed, but instead of the 600lb Eibach front coils like on this Boss I have now I'll go to the 650lb to compensate.

For the rear, I have Firestone 4107 airbags to compensate for the rear swaybar removal and there's about 3" more droop with it removed. A stiff ride around town doesn't bother me.

I don't know about you guys but I hate looking in my wheel wells and see it all ragged out and gross. My engine splash guard have just deteriorated. I can't keep them clean from wheeling trips and daily use either. I look at T4R for some ideas and found Rad rubber designs. I figured for $50 bucks it was worth a shot. I'm very impressed at how well they are made. Super beefy and cut perfect for my 06 v8. Came with everything I need to install them. Didn't take long at all. I also paint the wheel wells real quick before installing. Took some picture of the before,during, and after.
