No More Amber!

I would like to start off by saying there are a few Amber's in my life that are pretty cool...the one Toyota threw at me inside my Tacoma and 4Runner are not them. I HATE it so much. I didn't want just the gauge clusters or HVAC changed, I wanted it all gone. I needed her out of my life once again. So I found a thread that [MENTION=59048]S p a r k y[/MENTION] was active in, then another, then another. I'm so glad I reached out to him. Quality work and helped me with the install when I had lights doing weird things. One of my favorite mods simply because I get to look at them all the time. Hit him up, it's worth it.

Does anyone by chance have a link to where I can purchase the bulbs online? I tried searching but came up with nothing. Been wanting to do this for a while now and 2 days ago the middle cluster went out on me, so good timing I guess. Haha

Any help would be appreciated!

Gross-out warning - Got it crapped on by...something. Sounded like a half-second of heavy rain and it ended up on the passenger side between the rear door and rear side window, passenger side front window and all down the door, across the sunroof and on the hood. Seriously, this had to have been a gigantic bird.

Fortunately we were a couple of blocks from a self-serve wash so I quickly got it off the paint.

I seem to remember reading on the internet that Big Bird was on vacation up in North Georgia this week!! ound:ound:

“Bulbs” will work for the hvac display T4’s not HP to be exact. Other HVAC background lights are t3’s. Cluster lights are small LED’s that need soldering.

Started shopping for tires.... Discovered that the 2008 SR5 that I picked up in Dec (with 65k miles) has the ORIGINAL Michelin CT tires on it. And honestly there's still a little tread left on them, but with that age I hesitate to trust them much longer putting in highway miles.

I had a pair of Minimalist Fabrication sliders installed a few weeks ago. He is going to fab some filler plates soon, for this design. I love them, and at a sweet price! Will add a few more pictures later. I need to add the 1.25 Spidertrax wheel spacers and the 2.5/1.5 Daystar leveling kit. Then it will look sweet!

Started shopping for tires.... Discovered that the 2008 SR5 that I picked up in Dec (with 65k miles) has the ORIGINAL Michelin CT tires on it. And honestly there's still a little tread left on them, but with that age I hesitate to trust them much longer putting in highway miles.

I agree that you should replace them ASAP!

The reason I agree is that last year my daughter finished college, I shopped around to find her a good used car for a graduation present, was looking at low mileage Camrys and or Avalons so she would have a car with some bells and whistles, but I came across a 2007 Corolla with only 5680 miles on it, it belonged to the seller's father who past away, he only drove it to the store, doctor's office and the dealer to get it serviced every 6 months even if it didn't need it, it had the oil changed 18 times with no more than 500 miles in between oil changes, it looks and smells like a new car and the price was RIGHT, I just couldn't past it up so I bought it, and she loves it!!!

The tires looked brand new...other than some very very small cracking on the sidewalls and I figured they would last at least a year but was planing to buy her new set anyway 4 months later on her birthday, so I figured she was good to go for the time being...well about a month or so pasted and she was down visiting us and when she was leaving to make the 90 mile trip back to her place she had a blowout about 6 miles from my house, so I went and got her back on the road with the doughnut spare and had her bring it back to my house and had her take my second vehicle back home until I could get her a new set of tires, no way I was going to let her drive it until then!!

Took a couple of weeks to get a new set of Michelins put on because they had to be ordered to get the ones I wanted, no cheap set of tires will do for my baby girl, they have a 70,000 warranty and full road service, they'll come and change a flat, lifetime balance and rotation, full road hazard, etc., etc.

Oil and filter change and lubed the driveshaft. Exciting stuff. Used Mobil1 High Mileage. The next oil change will be at 200,000 miles!

Yikes, scary story! Yep, I'm in the same boat. Got tires coming up from the warehouse today to be installed this afternoon. Not something to mess with for sure.

Yes I remember you replying to my post, hopefully you have been able to spend some quailty time with your Dad!!

I just when back and checked out the post I made last year when I got it because I sometimes have CRS (Can't Remeber $hit, I sure some of ya'll can relate :noidea and really couldn't remember the actual miles the Camry had so I made my best guess as to what that was in the above post, BUT due to CRS that number is wrong, it actually had 6652 miles on it when I got it, so I was off 972 miles, hopefully I want to be tarred and feathered by everyone for my attack of CRS....:bolt:

1. Installed the "Smokers Kit" for a second 12v outlet.

2. Finally pulled out, routed, and installed the mic from the Scion stereo the PO had installed. He told me when I was looking at it that he'd just stuffed the mic cable in with the rest of the wiring bc he only needed the bluetooth to work for streaming music. At least we can finally make decent handsfree calls now!
