What did you do with your 4runner today?

Went to the woods for some shooting, truck threw 13 dash lights and died 12 miles in. After 7 hours I got a new battery an hauled ass home, fought for 5 days to find out a fuse that didn't look blown, was not functioning.

My backup camera and new head unit were popping the fuse when I put it in reverse. Just left the backup camera hardwired an switch it on manually (or watch people behind me while I drive) an all was well. Annoying, an hard lesson learned.

Also threw in my 34" light bar, Cali Raised brackets, RCI full skid's during the electrical gremlin hunt. Wired it up to a factory style switch an it's really clean.

I decided to paint my front Toyota emblem red to match the TRD Pro rims center caps. I'm not sure I like the way it looks. I'm going to paint the rest of the chrome on the grill black and then decide.

To the left of the steering wheel behind the fuse panel/box thing. You just have to remove 5 nuts/bolts. It was a pain to get the relay out of the plastic clip but very easy install after you get it off.

I Plasti Dipped the rest of the grill black today. Turned out a bit sloppy. It's too cold and damp today to get a good application. I used my heat gun to help drying. I was impatient. I am going to wait for warmer weather and probably redo.

I got stuck on a rock

Dented some skid plates, beat up my Jack, and lost my shirt. The dog was not pleased with the rock.

By mistake I took the outlet gate through the trail, then come to find out it was the same trail whose entrance gate ****ed me up yesterday. There was no way in hell I'd make it back out the trail if I had turned around. My running boards only have a few more trees/rock hits left in them before they're toast. I made that rock respect me in the end, but I did not make it my *****.

I dented some doors and my rear tow point, good times.

Thanks! Sorry yeah meant mud guards. It's a yakima crossbar with a wind faring.

I've been asking myself that every day for a while now. I've got a 2wd with xreas which is why the spindles in the front were appealing. The rear is a little tougher. I know a lot of guys have done the FJ swap with no xreas issues, so I figured I'd start with that and see how it sits. I don't mind a little reverse rake and I never have that much weight in the back so fingers crossed. If I need more lift I was thinking spacers or Toytec superflex.

Definitely had to use the heat gun a couple times on the drain bolt. Not my best purchase decision but I was on a buying spree and thought Amazon had the best prices. Went with Lucas Synthetic 75W90 and overpaid--$115 for two gallons SMH.

Yeah, I'm up for it. My 4R is gonna be down for a couple weekends since I'm getting ready to rebuild the power steering pump and replace the lines, waterpump, and pulleys. Internal snorkel mod looks interesting--I can help or observe while my rig is disassembled haha.
