- rear brake pads, Raybestos EHT from Rock Auto, arrived a day early.
- Bosch battery from Pep Boys. They have a 25% discount code at the moment, came out to $106 and change after core exchange and sales tax.

This time no Fluid Film applied to my clothing, arms, and hair

It was getting dark when I applied the fluid film for the first time, so I used my phone's flashlight in one hand and the can in the other. I later discovered my phone's screen was much slipperier. :spy:

Beep beep!

Installed a set of Hella Sharptone horns today. Wired them up with the included relay and my goodness, they are significantly louder than the OEM horn. They look great behind the grill as well, makes me want to do a satoshi grill even more.

Boring, but I got my trannie serviced at my trusted shop. Cost a pretty penny, but the dropped the pan, cleaned every thing out. I was worried about a flush/fluid replacement at this mileage. First “lifetime” change. Adjusted everything. Shifts like silk. Mechanic even brought the magnets in to show me how good everything looked. At 124k bought at 86k I always thought it shifted late from 1 to 2 and I felt a vibration in the gas peddle. Now I’m worried about falling asleep on the way home from night shift. Truck is way too smooth now.

Me too, but I'm at 199k miles. It was done at 122k also. Also had a coolant flush because, you know, annual flush.

Nothing huge but since I don’t have a build thread I figured I’d post it here. Added some plain TRD decals to the 4R today. I really like it!

Next will be to remove the driver and passenger door badges, just need some warmer weather!

Did an oil change yesterday and I must say, this funnel makes adding oil super easy and very fast since it has a large opening and doesn’t get backed up. Pricey though at $27 on amazon

I was trying to avoid the sun because I burnt my face/arms pretty badly a few days ago, but while my 4r was in the shade, I managed to fix a few things.

I got around to properly hard-wiring my rear dashcam, no more ugly exposed and in-the-way wire plugged into the rear power socket.

I also started and tested my TPMS bypass setup, I spliced one end of a plug connector into the appropriate wires, but realized I didnt have any more heat shrink, so instead of soldering and shrinking the other end of the connector to my toggle switch, I scotchlocked the two ends of that side of the plug together. at least it lets me know that I got the right wires, and will keep that annoying light off until i get more heat shrink tubing (Spare tire only holds air for about a day)

FYI, if you cut the bottom off an empty 1 quart oil container, the threads match perfectly with the oil "intake." Free funnel that won't come out of the hole.

Just bought this 4runner recently. its an 04 with 136K. It needed wheels and tires and I picked them up off a fellow member here.

A fill take 5.5 quarts so I get a 1 quart every other fill. I also have a bunch of one quarts bottles lying around because motorcycles.

Cleaned it up and installed new spark plugs. For as well as this T4R was maintained by the previous owner, the plugs were never replaced. I bought it at 69,000 and now at 86,000 at the time of the plug change.

I just ordered hub assemblies from nj636. It seemed that as soon as I put on my rims and tires I started getting the dreaded bearing hum. Hopefully that's the only thing that is wrong.
