Pulled my radiator to replace the fan clutch on the weekend. The jet roar is too much on the highway. Then started cleaning and painting pulleys and decided to replace the belts. They should arrive by mail today and I hope to get it back together tonight. A bit late for the week of spring-like weather we are having but it'll be ready for the next warm, sunny day!

Yeah, "normal" for a 32 year old 4runner! :thumb3:
Don't mind it around town but since my truck is relatively quiet on the highway except wind noise, it was bringing me down. Will report back later on the difference.

Nice! do those 3rd members bolt into first gen 4runner rear housings also?
It does once the housing is also modified. The housing needs 4 additional holes drilled & tapped and some grinding.

Got it back together and driving last night. Wow! What a difference. You cannot hear any jet roar at all now. Amazing! Definitely worth the money and effort.
Chasing down brakes and steering issues on the 88. Brakes feel a lot better but i think ill bleed again to see if I can firm them up. Steering is still pulling to the right. It pulls constantly, just a little while driving but a lot when braking. Maybe its casters? when i drove on the wrong side of the rode(shh dont tell) it ran striaght. Its supposed to be warm this weekend so ill be jacking up the front end to check out the ball joints and tie rod ends.

1993 V6 3.slo 5sp 256k Miles
It's clean but has some electrical issues. Right now Something in the rear harness is shorting.
Fuses that blow:
Wiper -- If i plug it in it will spark, run the front wipers 1 cycle with the stalk in the off position, then pop
Rear Defroster -- Turned it on Popped the fuse
Other Symptoms:
Rear window -- Only works VIA the key in the back, when I brought it home last night I did some reading and realized my wiper motor back there was toast so I unplugged it and jumped the position sensor and the rear window started working just from the key in the tailgate.
Brake Lights/Tail Lights -- Neither work, 1 of the bulbs was burnt out but the other is fine. The Driving Tail Lights DO work.
So my thoughts are to take the interior panel off in the rear and start testing everything with the voltmeter. I did a continuity test on the Wiper fuse and it checked out OK so I'm not sure where the short is. it does have wires hanging down for the trailer harness with 1 of them being exposed but I don't think that would cause the wiper to short, maybe the backup lights and brake lights.
Other Issues I need to fix:
Valve Cover is leaking badly, I put 2 quarts in it when I bought it.
Both diffs are leaking, have to look a little more into these to see if it's pinion or the axle seals, a quick look led to believe it's just the axle seals
On to the pictures, I'm in love already. I might just start a build thread for questions etc to keep track of everything.
Minimal Rust was a real winner here...I'm excited!

Thanks! I'm dieing to drive it and get the tail light issues fixed. Once that's done I can at least drive it and continue working on getting the front wipers/Wiper Fluid working. I have a feeling I'm looking for more than 1 short here.

Definitely suspect something the previous owner did, such as the trailer lights you mention. No reason for stock, unmolested circuits to fail.
