235 70 16 sumitomo. Ice edge. First time user of these tires but I have sumitomo on my track car and have been very pleased. Might be the best value in tires ive seen in a while. I run summer and winter tires and rims on my winter vehicles. No compromises that way.

I've ran these tires for a couple days now. Can't give long range feedback but... they are well siped so I expect they will do well on ice. Ran them in snow and ran right up what it took 4wd a couple days ago with old half tread tires.seem to run straight down the road, no hunting or not too bad, better than all seasons I just took off. Look pretty sexy if a tire can look sexy.

I run MasterCraft M&S on my dodge ram. Also pleased with them but they seem to hunt more. I was/am a professional mechanic who worked at Goodyear and I started at the bottom as a tire buster. Know my rubber pretty good for the most part. Also have currently 8 vehicles. More actually depending on what you count.

replaced the rear pinion seal on 4r #2. it leaked, and there was slight movement with the flange. torqued the nut within spec and staked it; wobble is gone (for now). removal and installation took about one hour.

also replaced the idler arm with a new pro-forged arm. it is a perfect fit, and looked identical to the original aisin; it also has a grease fitting, where the original did not. removal and installation took about 35 minutes.

Finished up and mounted the front skid plate. Working on the one to the rear of the transfer case the next couple days. Made out of 5/16 diamond plate aluminum.

Replaced the worn out rear differential (4.31's) with Marlin Crawlers (4.88's) on my 22re Auto. Long overdue and well worth it. Moves so much quicker and now my speedo seems dead on too.
Found a 94 part out, snagged the front carrier to match the back, haven't tackled that one yet, but soon.
Had Cat replaced and some exhaust repairs.
Cleaned her up, rides like a dream now.

replaced the leaking clutch master cylinder with an aisin unit from rockauto. removal and install took about 40 minutes, and bleeding took another 5 minutes.

after that, took the white '87 on the road for the first time. cruise control does not work. otherwise, it rode nicely, tracked straight, shifted smooth, and braked evenly. a few more things to work on, but it's almost there.

Took the washer fluid container off my parts truck and put it on the runner. Bring on crappy roads now!

replaced the rear lapbelts in the white '87 with shoulder belts. i used a set of rear belts from my old '97 corolla, and they are a perfect fit. perfect length, mounting hardware correct size. not a match color-wise; tan corolla vs. gray 4runner. these belts are even better than the subaru belts in my other '87, because the upper anchor is able to rotate, instead of being locked in place.

finished repairs under the windshield trim, too. used por-15 silver on the minor surface rust, and use flexseal to close two pinholes. reattached the trim, and sprayed fluid film under the trim around the entire edge. the leak appears to be gone, but i'll keep an eye on it.

New shocks all around today. Took about two hours from start to finish. I didn’t even have to take any wheels off. Rides like a truck now instead of a dump truck. I’m going to pull the PO’s Zuk mod next. Too much lift out back is starting to bother me.

changed out the disintegrated exhaust manifold gasket with a steel-core from fel-pro. got lucky, and all the nuts and bolts freed up. was able to swap gaskets without disconnecting the down pipe from the manifold. a 30-minute job.

much quieter now.

hope to swap the torn outer driveshaft boots tomorrow.

Changed the pinout on my obd2 connector (3.4 swap) now it can pull codes and see live data etc.

Bought some VHT niteshade to do my headlights/taillights tomorrow, also bought a replacement bulb for the light thats on the passenger side door but popped it in and still no light, must be a wiring issue. Looks like I'll be taking off the door panel this weekend to figure it out. That's one of my favorite features on the 2nd Gens is the lights on the driver side and passenger side front doors!

And those light lenses from a 2nd gen fit a 1st gen too. I swapped out a set of faded/cleared lenses on mine for a clean red set from a 2nd gen.

They must be angled correctly.

if they need to be angled, they won't work; they'll only mount vertically in the 4runner.
