I forgot about that pocket, I never use it. But I found stuff from the previous owner in mine when I bought it, en empty eyeglasses pouch, a bunch of lens cleaner packs, and a half used notepad. That stuff is probably still in there....

I throw change from drive thrus in there. Cant really EASILY reach in to use the change, but there it sits.

That's cool, I wanted to do something similar but to make it so I can pop open the panel and then hide it away when not needed, like I said I'd need to figure out how much extra I can cut out the back to make space for it though. How deep is that unit BTW?

It is just the faceplate so I actually still have use of the space in the cubby. It connects to the radio via a cat-6 cable with ethernet - type plugs.

What about rattles?

Mine rattles and drives me crazy... I just bought the truck and haven't had time to do much besides replace the light bulbs behind the AC control panel.

Thought about using some type of weatherstripping or something similar. Anyone done anything differently to stop the door from rattling?

That is cool! I didn't know they came separated like that! I thought I was gonna have to mount a whole unit like a radio, that separate head unit is a nifty idea.!

Can you shut the pocket with it in there? I've tried to get my M&P Shield in there and it won't fit. It's pretty small too.
