what does this plug into?

sorry for the crappy cell pic, but does anyone know what this plugs into? I was working on the 4runner yesterday and noticed this wasn't plugged into anything. it's located on the drivers side around the back of the headlight.

I found that too.

I have 2 more unplugged harness behind my dash dimmer switch that I have no idea what they are for.

Do you have a digital hvac display? If not. I'm pretty sure its for the outside temperature thermometer.

i have the hvac controls with 3 analog dials

When OBDII compliance became mandatory in 1996, the factory plug for the optional flux capacitor interfered with the voltage sensor and the clock, making it necessary to bypass the circuit.

There is another similar adapter that accompdates another factory accessory, commonly known as the red button option. It is very important that you DO NOT push this unless you hear hero music. If it is pushed at the wrong time, your vehicle will crash horrifically in slow motion from several different camera angles.

I rewired the bypass to pull more power down from the flux and get 42 mpg. My clock doesn't work now tho... :cry2: So I think I'll probably go back to factory. :biggrin2:
