Got the 99-02 console box, dial type HVAC controls out of a 98, Steering wheel and spiral cable from a 99, window master switch from a 99. Looking for some 00-02 front seats, in my 97 SR5

Looks great. I also have a 97. Is there an easy way to just change out the hvac controls to the knobs instead of the sliders in my 97? I hate the sliding knobs, would like the circular controls but don't want to do it if the install is a nightmare. Thanks for any help

It's not terrible, one of the cable has a different end, which is not the end of the world, you will need a wire diagram for a 98, the fan switch and A/C wires/ connectors are the same, as with colors but in different pin locations. So I used a small 3/16 rivet and pulled the pin out, cut it down to fit exactly were i needed it. And then for the wiring I was able to look at diagrams so I could de pin and put wires where they needed to go, I think there was only one wire for the blower that was a different color.

clean that thing up you filthy beast!

It has been, that was taken right after the mods. I would have cleaned it better for the pic, but figured there aren't enough real life pics on the net. I was also lifting the center panel for my back window and ECT, until about a month ago.

Yes I'm proud of my carpet mod and accessory cables.

I have a 2000 so I like the interior mostly. I did swap out all the wood grain stuff for SR5 flat back parts because I hate the fake wood grain. flat black no glare, simple me.

I also just picked up a 1997 as a winter beater and a challenge to keep it running for as long as possible. When I first got it... kids had been riding around in it. I pulled the seats out and found several piles of skittles, french fries, princess Ariel hair scrunchies, spilled milk, enough coffee spills for a latte.

you don't really realize how disgusting things can get until you clean it out.

There IS real wood in there, although just a thin veneer. I was able to peel off that thick awful clear plastic overlay, and then sand, restain and polyurethane the wood and I like how it came out.

Only helped me negotiate!

I am now only because the PO had dogs and they SHREDDED the back leather seat. Also the smell of wet dog was so embedded into the material and foam I made sure I had some second hand sr5 seats to swap them out with. Sucks cause I really wanted the heated aspect of it but the trade off was either wet dog smell or suede sr5 seats that just needed a good upholstery cleaning. So off to the curb the leather seats went! I took it all the way down to the floorboards. I still haven't taken any photos of the sr5 seats!
Cheers to keeping these rigs on the road!

Just picked up my 2000 4WD SR5 sport 3 weeks ago, noticed it has a Rear Diff lock switch which is pretty awesome! Interior is pretty clean and everything suprisingly for its age is fully functional...only thing I added are some new OEM Toyota 4Runner floor mats.
