Look in your manual. I think it says 10w-30 is alternative if temps stay above some cold number, like 10 or 15°F. 5w to 10w is the cold temp viscosity, which only applies on start-up--still extremely important for engine lubrification as well as ease of starting.
I live in the vally and during the winter drive to the summit altleast 2 or three times a week when its snowing to go snowboarding.
Would i be better off switching to a different weight other than 10-30 durung the winter for better protection?
