I still like the escape, but it is now my wife's daily driver. However, I really regret not shelling out the extra $1500 for the CRV. The CRV gets better mpg, quicker, more comfortable. I was just being a cheapskate. I think in the long run, the honda would give us fewer problems and maintain highter resale values than the ford. Oh well.1morecast said:

i drove a blue 2001 honda civic coupe ex. just got my 4runner 4 weeks ago. Wish I still had my civic as a commuter car (i ended up giving it to my brother) with rising gas prices. i love my 4runner though.
my first car was a 1998 Daewoo Nubira, then a 1995 Civic, then the 2001 Civic

We had a pretty good thread on this subject about a year ago. I used the search engine and typed in "Borgward" which is one of my old cars, quess what just one thread came up. I guess Borgward doesn't get mentioned too much on this forum.

3rd - '92 Ford Explorer 4x4 Sport
Current - '04 Toyota 4Runner Sport
Until '97, I would also from time to time take my dad's '77 Jeep CJ7 with Quadratrack. Beautiful V8 powered Jeep, and very fun to drive. New paint, seat covering, etc. One of the few Jeeps I've seen with an automatic transmission. I wish he hadn't sold it. He is still mad at himself; I have yet to see another in that good of a condition.
I have to say that Turbocharged Sunbird was one of the best car investments I could have made. I paid $2,300 for a car that was reliable, sipped gas, and yet was suprisingly quick. I only put in a new stereo system and set of tires, I drove it for 5 years with VERY little maintenance, and sold it for $1,500. I'd call that pretty cheap driving! That was also when it only took me $9 to fill my tank on premium. I miss those days

'91 Blazer S10...2WD...free from my grandfather...but in the 2 years i had it...spent about $2500 on mechanical problems...and $700 in body...paint was comin off everywhere...and drivin from CA to CO...blew the trans in Elko, NV...sold it to the mechanic there for $200...i would post pics...but it would distgust even those with the strongest stomachs...haha...and chevys dont belong on this site...
