What is a Sport hood worth to you?

Well, I will most likely have the opportunity to trade my stock hood off of my black 2000 Limited + cash for my neighbors' black sport hood! I am very excited since I've been looking into doing this for a while.
Two quick questions - how easy is it to swap hoods over? I assume just unscrew them and unplug the washer fluid...

More importantly, how much should I offer in cash in addition to my hood (in good condition). I realize it depends on how much I want it and what it's worth to me, but what do you guys think? Is there a price difference if I were to order an OEM sport vs. OEM regular? I'm just looking for a ball-park figure.

That would depend on how much it is worth to you, personally if I were swapping for one I may offer 100-200 dollars more.

That sounds about right. Your lucky they are the same color. I was going to buy one, but I would have had to paint it and that would push the total to $400. :bash:

I'd start by offering a case of his favorite beer.:cheers: Then try $50 if that doesn't work. Don't let him in on the fact that you really really want it.

And don't forget to explain that by doing the swap it's only really saving you the labor, and just a couple of dollars in parts. Good luck.

Definitely offer him a nice case of brews, that always seals any deal. In addition to some $ too.
