What is High Mileage?

My 2wd 4runner has 302k miles and it still runs great no issues beside EGR cell light on and it has a small oil leak.

Mine just has 115k but a 97' at work has 265,000 give or take. It has never been take great care of besides oil changes. The transmission has been slipping for 3 years after some guys stole it's Cat off it. Engine runs as good as mine. It takes a lickin and keeps on tickin!

My sisters rig just rolled over 250k....and it still runs and drives like new. When I get another one....I'll be looking at all comers. If a 200k mile rig comes up and it's what I want and it's been maintained, I'm in.

Valve covers gaskets are normal maintenance. Needs done every 8-10 years usually.

I would put money on the bolts being loose, check there first. Get a torque wrench that does in.-lbs.

Just had my valve cover gasket done, the old one pretty much had disintegrated. Parts are only 35 bucks from advanced auto.

Shouldn't be. I've owned nearly twenty cars, approximately half were older than 10 years and I never had a problem with valve cover gaskets.

Hmm, My Audi's have had leaking VCGs. We are talking single, and twin turbo models so I don't really mind if and when they need to be done of the TOY.
