What is my 2004 Sport worth?

I have a 2wd 2004 Sport Edition with 140,000 miles on it in excellent shape. It has a 2.5" lift, spidertrax spacers, remote radar detector, Scion deck, husky liners, leather, and a few other light mods. Paint in excellent shape (I detail vehicles on off time from reg job). What can I get for this? Also - V6.

Unless you find a buyer who wants all the extra's you added...you can never include those into the price of the car. Most buyers are NOT looking at vehicles with any add-ons.

I know, that's because mods = zero dollars towards trade in value.

All depends on the buyer. Most people that want a modded 4Runner want to build it themselves. That's part of the fun. There are a select few buyers that want the work already done. The majority of the time you'll get more money by returning to stock and then selling your mods separately.

For dealer trade in I think they'll give you no more than if you were stock. I think your only chance to get more than stock value is to sell it private party and hope you can find a buyer.

Yes. However, I would definitely do a part out if I ever sold my truck. I've still got all my stock wheels, suspension, ect., just for that reason

Ding ding ding ding! We have a winner. If I were you, I'd take all the mod's off and sell them in the Classified's on this website or CraigsList. You'll never get your mod $$$ back selling it that way.

If you don't have all your stock stuff (like me, I threw away my old shocks and coils) then you can pickup used OEM stuff on here for cheap. Just a thought. :cheers:

I never really look at 2wd's, but I will throw out the first # for ya. I say $8k give or take.

2004 T4R Value

I bought a stock 2004 Sport V6 4wd with 169 KM (equiv 106 miles) in May, 2012 for $7600. It needed brakes all round and struts so this impacted the price, but it was otherwise in very good condition.

With your miles and 2wd I would say $6-7K max. The mods might add value for 1/100 buyers. It most cases, the mods will detract from the value not add to it.
