KDSS...my whole first suspension lift kit, TOYO RT's, LR UCA's, first roof rack...first and second rear bumpers.
Most recently is probably the AFE Momentum GT...its cool and sounds alright, but probably could do without it.

This is exactly what I mean. There is so much nuance about how we each use the truck that there are bound to be things that 5000 people recommend in a thread, but as soon as we put it on we're like NOPE based on our usage.
Wanting a change based on looks isn't a bad thing, you don't have to wheel the sh!t out of your Runner to make your lift or tires worth it to you. You also might need to change Literally everything but the engine to get the most out of your ride. No hating here. Max [MENTION=129593]MTN4RNR[/MENTION] and Ron [MENTION=118209]Ron4RNevada[/MENTION] wheel the cr@p out of their mainly stock rigs, and yet Chris [MENTION=76550]cbielat[/MENTION] has changed complete suspensions more times than I have children, each to their own usage.
I just like hearing the stories that go along with the changes I guess.

For me I changed up after realizing I wasn't going to be using my tear drop trailer. I had a sweet off road tear drop, but I never used it cause I was doing more day wheelin trips, or trips where you aren't returning to a "base camp." Some of the trails were just not great to be hauling a trailer on.
So...I sold the tear drop trailer, swapped to a more robust suspension in anticipation of adding a rtt (which I have now). Once you change one thing, you need to change another!
Had a 3/4 Prinsu roof rack, but couldn't use it for my RTT. Swapped to a full length Frontrunner. Its just been an evolving rig, and I'm sure once I think I'm done...something else will change!

Damn- I’m reading this a week too late. Haha.
I had a somewhat similar experience - only for me it was the ride height.
I really wish I had researched that lift a little more. It is entirely my fault, but I thought that it would sit level after the lift. I completely missed the "maintains factory stance" to mean "it is still raked as all get out."
$260 for new rear springs just to sit level.
I love the stance and ride now that I installed their 1.5 rear springs. But I'm way more into this little spacer lift than I ever intended now.

Ditto on the N-Fabs. The rust popped up after a single winter, and the actual step surface is miniscule. Fortunately, they were under warranty and returnable. Much happier with my 10-13 Trail steps.

Sitting level is shit when you are loaded up for a camping trip. Dirty diaper going down the road. Coil overs give the ability to really dial in the front end ride height and correct for lean.

yikes, sorry to hear that. too late to cancel? watch out for the tips of the trim removal tools, they like to break off.

Kinda regret buying it to be honest.
Its a fine car, and I have a bunch of mods in the garage waiting to go on it, but the jury is out on if it was a smart move. Once we get it on the trails, that will be the deciding factor
So far, the mpg sucks, the power is pathetic, the suspension is terrible, the lack of features is laughable, and the radio/nav is one of the worst I've had the displeasure of using. Oh, and the 3rd row is a joke.
I'm just glad I didn't shell out the money for a new one.

Agreed. The wife was pregnant at the time and I didn't do enough research. Saw nfabs as a good compromise between looks and price at the time. I would have skipped nfabs and gone straight to rock sliders that stick out far enough to use as steps as well.
No. The rear, or middle, seat is on sliders. You can slide it forward for more cargo space or third row leg room. Or you can slide it rearward for more second (middle) row space. When you slide it all the way to the back you have more legroom than in the two-row model.
after finding out about the redarc towpro elite brake controller, I kind of regret getting the Tekonsha p3. I know the Tekonsha is a great controller, but I didn't like screwing holes into my dash.
I also keep hitting my knee on it getting out. Even after I designed and 3d printed a much lower profile mount for it, it still sticks out just enough to catch my knee every once in a while.
