what is the easiest/cheapest way to lift my 4Runner

I have a 2007 SR5 that sits really low compared to other 4Runners I see or my 05 Sport. Now I know it has 16's as opposed to 17's but the tires are brand new and I am not looking to spend all of what new wheels and tires would run me. So my question is there an easier way to give me that inch or more lift while keeping the 16's. Can it be done without the cost of new wheels and tires. Any suggestions welcomed.

Yes, you can keep the 16's. Search toytec or Daystar leveling kits. Very cheap and easy. Good luck!

I highly recommend looking at the Cornfed lifts. You can do a 1" front leveling only, a 2" front and 1" rear lift, or a 3" front and 2" rear kit. I finally decided on the 3/2 and I am very glad that I did. I do have a Limited with 17" wheels, but I don't think 1" will make that much of a difference.

if i got a daystar leveling kit, do i need to put the 4runner on a lift to install? How hard is it to DIY? Any instruction links?

Most leveling spacers are topout so it's very simple to install, if you can use a wrench. For instructions, search spacer lift installation. You should find plenty of threads.

Now here's a question... After leveling your runner out, when you load the back end up to go camping or hauling, does the back end then sag and give the 'boat' look?

I was going to level out, then my Father in Law mentioned this might happen and that the front being lower was intentional by the engineers who built the rig.

Just curious.
