What is this computer in a cage?

To the right of my battery, on the driver side fender in the engine bay of my 2000 SR5 there is a a computer module/brain box that is caged in a sheet metal compartment with one grey plug coming off it.

The plug has been un-attatched since my purchase. Just wondering if anyone knows what it is for?

Looks to me like the daytime running light plug. I unplugged mine as well, and it's in that spot. I assume the thing inside the cage is the module or whatever that reduces the intensity of the beam until you power on the headlights.

Yes its the DRL box, mine is unplugged as well.

Ok thanks that makes sense since my DRL's are off. I just thought they were unplugged at the lamps since I saw the plugs dangling there, but I guess the "brain" was disconnected by the previous owner also.
