What is this extra piece of plastic in my new T4R?

Just bought a 2015 limited 4x4 and this piece of plastic was on the rear cargo tray along with a single Japanese character on a piece of paper.

Can anyone tell me what it's for? It's either worthless or extremely important I am guessing...
